This might be a **** idea but after seeing the success of games like Star Citizen and Shenmue 3 it just might work. If we raised enough money then we could, as a community, invest in CCP for Legion, and seeing how we're the investor we could have some control of its development, I'm sure if it was pitched right it could earn as much as 5 million.
Please don't hurt me, just an idea I got from my sleep deprived mind XD

I don't even know what to hope for anymore. So **** it, let people throw money at it if they really want to. Most of those people already do spend money on DUST though, if anyone still does that these days. |

Kickstart Dust 2.0 / Legion as long as BOTH sides of the community are supported. We should have a great game for both Console players and the PC players.
The only thing that has always baffled me is this - It has to be easier to create meaningful interactions between EVE PC and a DUST on PC, at least less complicated than doing that between consoles and PC... right?

I'm not putting money into anything which will be developed by a company which has so many projects on the go (or did) that I'm adamant they sure as hell don't need to crowd-source and I think I would vomit if they even suggested it, not that they did, but you did, so just a bit of bile instead.... |

It isn't a bad idea for an Indie company but I can see tinfoilers looking at that, when combined with CCP no longer making their financial records public as of 2014, as a 'CCP is losing ground Eve/Dust/Valkyrie/Panty-hose is dying' argument.
It also (perhaps wrongly) assumes that CCP Shanghai isn't pulling the revenue to make Project Legion happen without a Kickstarter
10% of US schools no longer teach Cursive. A decade from now, 10% of the US isn't going to understand all the squiglies.

Project Legion was a bad idea, and I'm glad it seems like it's gone.

Again, that is also a bad idea.
The difference in control inputs is just too much. To appease the Console players you'd have to give them crazy aim-assist so they could compete against mice, and that would just drive off all the PC players.
You can't have both. It has to be one or the other.

The difference for me is that Dust is a game I can actually play and enjoy, whereas Shenmue is still just a dream, and Star Citizen has been raking in millions without any sign of an end date.
If CCP needs financial investment to gauge demand for their game, that's fine. But I would prefer the more traditional method of giving a developer money once they have actually created a product, and not before.

What i dont understand is Everybody keeps shunning pc when an entry level gamer laptop/ box costs just as much as a ps4. Perhaps working with PlayStation left a foul taste in CCPs mouth?

that couldnt be more incorrect imo
if that were the case then why support Morpheus with Valkyrie
Plain and simple CCP ****** up with DUST releasing it on the end of the PS3 life cycle to name 1 of the many things that went wrong with this game.
Also @ OP lol we already kinda did kickstart legion with the money ppl spent and prob still spending on dust

There are multiple games on PC that support KB&M & controller. DUST514 even supports KB&M and controller.
Complaints from KB&M community: KB&M and horrible FPS doesn't work well.

We're a foot in CCPs door to produce Valkyrie. Not that I'm complaining... But seriously any Monday morning quarterbacking here? Yea I folded this time and did it too.

Sorry.. The only thing Dust Related that needs to be developed on the PC is a 3d overview map for the Eve Toons in orbit so they can direct the battle from the sky.
Dust should always live on the console... There are SOOO many hackers waiting for Leagon so they can make a ton of aim bots to kill off the game.
You think the DNS is bad now.. just wait.
Over 60+ Million SP and full proto in all Caldari Suits. Dust just won't die on PS3/Xbox. Dustin since 6/29/2012
