Um, hell to the no. They both have enough weaknesses there is absolutely no need to nerf either.

I don't really have an issue with using them as traps. I will set them down, pop around a corner, shoot at a heavy to come after me, they turn the corner and I blow them up.
I will admit there have been a couple of times I have exploited them to dispose of a group of people coming after me by dropping and popping them, but those times are few and far between.
As for the blast radius, I wouldn't want to make it TOO much bigger because, like grenades, every person in range takes 100% of the damage. Maybe give adv. +1.5 Meters and Proto + 3 meters. I just don't want someone to be able to throw one into a confined space and kill 7 mercs with 1 RE.

I know. That bugs me. When I "throw" them, it goes like 1 or 2 meters. It is the perfect distance for traps. What I like doing is jumping up (in a Logi w/ no Myofibs so not exactly out of the building) and at the Apex throwing it into the wall. If I time it right, it is high enough grenades won't blow them up. So someone chucks a grenade in, it blows, they walk in thinking the area is clear. Their head is sitting right next to my RE. *Boom* +50. LOVE doing that.
Now, If I'm standing on a wall or an overlook and dropping them 50 - 70 - 100 meters, I think they should detonate upon impact. Of course, C4 can be hit with a hammer as long as there is no blasting cap so I don't know how big of a deal it is. On second thought, nevermind. They should be able to handle the drop.
