If you only run proto then you are the problem, because you're creating an environment where it's impossible to field a suit with a reasonable chance of winning. The kind of suit that has any chance of winning simply costs too much to lose, and there's no way to beat you in the isk war because :PCpayouts:
I'm not saying that proto has no place in pubs, the payouts are big enough to fund a few, but it's definitely a sign that you're not interested in being challenged if your wallet goes negative in the name of cheap kills. Not a lot different to modded controllers.

Pubs are pretty bad, even if you solo q. Make a squad or que sync it doesn't solve the main problem. Most pub matches are 75% full at best, two teams of 9-12 players most of the time. Maybe if your lucky you'll get 15 or 16 'listed players'. Out of any team you can expect at least 3 players to be completely useless. Either just farming isk afk in a corner or 'trying to snipe' the whole match with very little to show for it. Right now where people need to destroy installations and hack tons of objectives (but not defend so they can hack again) pubs are even worse.
I think this is the first event I can remember that actually made the quality of matches go down.... |

I run Apex suits unless there's nobody doing stuff on my team.
There are ways to play the game without being poor. I hardly ever see any Dust Uni in game and when I do they are solo, this seems pretty strange to me. |
