so, the kills, not hard, and you get some assists along the way.
installations, I think I got bullied in DUST I actually had tanks pushing me out of the way and ramming me down hills just so I couldn't get my aim on point with my forge gun.
Seeing tanks roll over each other to get the kill, little do they know I'm waiting with 2400hp in one shot so I can steal it. for the most part though I tried to hide far away and not compete with anyone and see if people would leave me alone, if you pick the right targets, an LAV and forge gun are all you need.
I also blew through all 3 of my Alldin's, sorry Alldin! Managed to destroy a few tanks AND kill the driver once they bailed out, that was VERY satisfying to kill some scrub tanker who bails before his tank is destroyed.
sometimes when I decided to hide by my LAV to destroy an installation a blue dot would steal it, which put me back a little bit. don't play domination for installations, just skirmish.
I'll admit that some games were very difficult to find installations and even supply depots in, if you see 2 or more friendly tanks rolling around, back out and find something else.
The hacks were easy, I used ADV minmatar assault with level 5 hacking and 3 codebreakers, don't have a scout on this account but it was still easy, I ran around with a nanohive and ignored everyone, even REs on objectives, I didn't care just wanted it done in one night.
Now the assists, wow is this hard, I've accidentally headshotted 2 people with about 1-3 rounds from a militia SMG by accident, I keep killing with my militia ARR by accident too. I've found that the bolt pistol is kind of effective,
sniper rifle is not very effective in getting assists, flux grenades and being the passenger in a tank probably will though! I think the easiest way if you're on foot is to try to get assists using the SMG.
Who has completed the event yet? I've been working but still found time (almost all my spare time) to almost complete the event, hopefully this game some people some good ideas
now share your experiences! |

alten hilt wrote:The kill assists and installation destructions are turning out to be the hardest. Kill assists because I tend to play a skirmish role where I either get the kill or I die, with no one around to finish them off. Installations because there are so many people trying to kill very few installations, and I don't have tanking or forge gun skills.
On a side note. Does anyone know if progress in a mission is applied instantly or only at the end of battle? I've had several matches where my entire team backs out of the match but I don't know if my progress depends on finishing the battle. I left one match halfway through and it didn't apply any of my hacks from that round but I don't know if that is a fluke
you most definitely have to finish the game for any of the stats to count mate.
yeh I'm finding it hard to not finish someone off, adding to the frustration is when nobody does finish them off! |

But then I realized that I was skilled to proto with five weapons and two suits and I had been using standard everything the entire time, just rolling with the bonuses skilling to proto gave me.
Whoops. No wonder I have so much money.
Things are quite a bit easier now, but my gun game is still deplorable.
Installations would be easier if there weren't tanks everywhere, but with my ****** aim I'm just rolling in the assists. I'll get my kills with shotguns or REs or something.
see I put up an OK score 18-4, in a starter fit, it's surprising what you can do when you ditch the high-end gear for a bit. I'd like to get insanely good with militia gear, not going to happen though, not when I'm so close to sentinel ck.0!
yes the tanks are annoying, everyone is in the same boat though, you need a good, good forge gun to compete with the damage modded prototype tanks. |

rizan baig wrote:I got the kill assists done pretty quickly.... It's the hacks and installations that I need help with. Any suggestions for a get-in get-out suit that I can use to quickly stealth hack objectives?
minmatar scout with codebreakers! level 5 hacking, level 5 in min scout, put 2 on ADV or 3 on pro, you can do it with minmatar assault but it's too damned slow for this.
you want to focus on the smaller 5 point skirmish maps, the ones with objectives very close together with plenty of ways leading to and from the objectives. |
