Counter hacks do count, if your the first person to do it. Counter hack assist however doesn't. That said yeah it's a lousy mission, always has been. Be glad it's only 25 and not 50, or 125. I regularly get the 10-15 objective hack missions that have to be done in a single day, usually with lousy rewards like 8 salvage boxes as a reward. Which I obviously don't do unless my over all daily mission is really good.
You don't need a scout suit however, just a modified fit of what you can use works wonders. I have an Amarr Assault fit that works pretty well. Has one enhanced kin cat, 1 complex code breaker, 1 enhanced code breaker, and one militia myro stym (the jump/melee one) as the foundation. The jump mod is just a little boost in the high slot for extra mobility, I actually have it to the level where I could put higher on, but militia is all you need to clear most railings and ledges easily in a straight line rush to an objective.
I can't remember the exact fit for the rest of it, but I have a krin dmg mod and the basic extender for the remaining high slot, and an assault scram as the main weapon. With 200ish shields and 400 armor your not completely squishy all while still having close to 5 walk speed and 7 sprint due to not wearing any armor plates that slow you down. It doesn't cloak, but honestly being able to at least take out an enemy scout without dying is better than a cloak that everyone can see any way.
If you have to cloak, but don't have a scout other fits can do it. Though I think the one that works with the high cpu/pg requirement the best other than scouts is a logi suit. Both of my logi cloak and the assault hack fits can be surprisingly effective, and cost only 11-12k each. Though that's using Apex suits Opus assault, and Seraph logistics, the Amarr factional stuff. So if you had to pay for an adv suit instead to get about the same fit you'd add an extra 8k or so to the fit.
Which is a key factor in being an aggressive hacker, you can't worry to much about if your going to die. Though it helps a lot if you can put an uplink on your suit. Not only to get back faster IF you die, but having an uplink near the objective your hacking helps a lot in preventing it from being counter hacked as your blue berries will spawn in behind you and at least distract the enemy while your hack completes. |
