Ps3 could use a little more power to the processing i figure it could be the problem for the freezing . but then again it can always jsut be a stray script clasing with anouther :P ill stick to my guns not a ps3 fan but its worth having it to play dust |

I would like to remind you that this is a beta. There will be lag as we are also stress testing these servers. Also I would like to inform you that the ps3 is technologically superior to the xbox 360. Another thing if this game were to be released for the PC then it would make current EVE players have to choose between EVE or DUST which, if they make the change to DUST it would lose CCP money. Don't worry the lag and other things will be fixed for full release, which is why it is a beta. again we are the guinea pigs there will be problems. |

This. (Except the EVE - DUST cannibalising thing, I never did see the logic in that)
Also, this thread is bad (you are fact-challenged and fanboying) and you should feel bad. All necessary whining on the PS3 / XBox thing has been done, didn't you get the memo? |

Yeah, because several universities have racks of networked xboxes they've turned into cheap supercomputers... oh wait. No, that was the PS3.

It's been suggested a few time by other players, and I tend to agree, that the freezes are the result of a bad memory leak somewhere.
Of course there are other factors, but the fact that the risk of a hard freeze increases with play time, and reaches a near certainly after just 4-5 rounds supports the idea.
The Devs have confirmed that the freezes are being addresses as best they can, and iirc should be alleviated in the next build, scheduled sometime between now and early July. |

well some people feel xbox is better im one of those people but im playing dust on ps3 and i don't really mind i never said anything bad against it

the Xbox is a good machine with a lot of good games. However it is not up for debate which one has the better hardware. PS3 wins the hardware debate hands down. Most games on the PS3 don't even come close to pushing its capabilities. |

surely cant be a processor issue? or lack there of. i mean dust atm isnt exactly the most advanced engine/graphics etc not that i dont love it and i know its getting better but my point is atm its current build is freezing and they havnt added many elements to it yet, with games such as bf3 and cod pushing ps3 boundrys compare them with the current build of dust, means it wont be stretching the ps3.

well i think perhaps if they stop thinking pc engine and start thinking console it might help the game along after all ccp's main experience has been on pc right coming to a console has its own little quirks you have to take back into mind as well cause just because it works well on the pc does not mean it works on the console. a console is just that something made for platform type games and pc is its own platform. im just saying not trying to say no ones not doing there job or something just sometimes its better to have separate frames of mind in place :P and its always ok to ask some one else what they think thats why they have this forum right ? :P |

Not true, I play EVE and will play Dust as well, even it being in 2 different platforms.
Would be far better if it was on the PC, that way I would just alt+tab from a game to the other.
It almost seem like EVE players dont contantly play seccondary games in paralell with EVE lol.
Anything from Diablo to Arma to WoT to anything, really.
