A heavily modified version of the device that allows Capsullers to see, the camera drone (gallante) is a portable drone that can be carried by a single mercenary, however it takes up 3 equipment slots. The camera drone can be thrown up into the air and be flown around and spot enemies with its built in Scanner. Although a very powerful reconnisance tool, the Camera Drone is very easy to hear and find due to its characteristic high pitched hum and is very succeptable to Small Arms fire.
What do you think?

I, honestly, like the idea. Would need some tweaking, but I like it.
Would need to wait for a move to more advanced hardware, though.

we've dicussed this before, how do you imagine it works?
i assume it's a piece of equip that flies around (and is destroyable) and the player is stationary while using it.

I'd prefer it to take 1 slot in dust and have very high pg/cpu like the cloak. It would be like a drone. It should be flown like a dropship and I think it should have resistance to sidearms. Not fair really that the weakest stuff can wipe it out.

I like the idea.
It would look very sci-fi-ish to have drones buzzing around.
Tons of possibilities with this as well. Maybe it could be fitted with different modules itself: rep tool, scanner, uplink etc.
I don't think taking up 3 EQ is necessary. Anyone flying a drone is taking their merc out of the battle. As long as the drone could be shot itself, it's pretty much self balancing.
Anyways, +1. Battlefield had these and they worked fine.

Well I just prefer to carry different equipment other than having just one piece of equipment taking up 3 slots.

This would be a bit more viable for Logis since they are in teh back and get avoid getting ganked while controlling teh droen adn for scouts so they can scope out a romm quickly before attacking.
Also it liek that if one gets destroyed you can throw out another one right away, is there a cooldown, sie tehre an unlimited amount or a limited amoutn per dropsuit, could you fly teh drone back to you and be able to pocket it again and continue playing as normal infantry and use it again later, how many shots does it take to destroy it maybe one or two, or does it have its own heath bar with shields and armor that is set per level or can be increased.
And also this would be considered an equipment for Ewar and I think it fits Caldari a bit more since they are a race more focused on scoping their enemies form afar so with this they can finally find them scan fly the drone back and have the position of the enemy take them out from cover. And yes I know Gallente has scanners already which is why this should go to Caldari, think about it Galogi 3 proto scanners 1 proto drone getting bonuses for all of them way too OP, just no, and this would actually give Caldari logis more meaning for bonuses with the drone allowing a team to get positions of enemies so they can attack and take everybody with precision.
