gunnlogi with 4 complex damage mods and a complex heat sink? and whatever else you can fit on it I myself have to use two cpu upgrades since I do not have max tank skills and I only have access to the std tanks, why not try it with a proto tank? great for tanking out proto tanks from afar as you can fire enough high damage shots to take them out in a few hits, a proto rail turret with these mods must do somewhere in the 3k range of damage? or am I completly wrong to think that the mods stack?
they seem to stack as I have taken out some 6k ehp tanks with 3 shots using an adv rail turret
anyway let me know if you try it out and what your results are, if you are going to try it dont get cocky as your tank is going to more then likely be a glass cannon so it wont take much to take you out, don't let anyone sneak up on you and staying close to an escape route or on a cliff that can provide a good vantage point and cover
I am going to be trying out multiple heat sinks next, havent seen many people use tanks to thier full potential everyone just spams the same maddy double hardener fit, its extremely annoying and fairly broken in my opinion, but I think the complex damage mod gunnlogi might be able to snipe it out of existence

But I guess if your okay with losing your tank in the process of taking someone else's out, go for it. And make no mistake, I have no problems going on a suicide mission in your red line to make sure you die for that bs :D
it only costs like 400k pretty cheap if you ask me, compared to losing a full proto tank If I die I'm only gonna die once, unless im trying to finish that darn vehicle assist mission which takes forever because no blueberry is capable of assisting or getting kills even when assisted by a tank
My ADS costs more then that and I use them to jihad tanks when I get bored so money is no issue I've got bpo's and what not to farm isk up

if you can help me with any vehicle assist quests that come up that'd be great I have omegas ready to farm up some SP when the event comes up so I might max out my vehicle skills

A blaster turret going red while you are engaging the enemy tank would wreck you.
With that said, there is no such thing as sniping with tanks anymore. With only a 300m range on the rails you are already in range of missile turrets, and a fuel injected Maddy can cover the distance pretty quickly as well.
yeah I did die to an adv missile gunnie once but I had him running for his life for most of the match, the only reason I died once was because a blue dot decided to block my vision and as soon as he got out of the way I was hit with a barrage of missiles
It had good enough range for most maps and I basically use it the same way I would my Cal assault with an assault sniper rifle
the heat sink allows for me to be able to fire most of the clip and it only takes 3 direct shots to take down most tanks, hit them in a weak spot and it only takes 2 even if they are repped and hardened, the actual fit I was using was 3 enhanced rail damage mods 1 complex heat sink and 1 enhanced shield extender adv rail with two enhanced cpu mods its only 304k for this fit so its pretty cheap and I can spam them If need be two of these tanks should be able to cover each other and the map well enough that no other tank would be able to get in close enough to kill them but if one does happen to go down the other can take out whoever or whatever took it out
as far as the enemy stationary turrets you can take those out so fast from afar that it should not even be a problem, I'm not saying hide in the redline but if you aren't using cover and good vantage points then you aren't doing it right, not the way I intended it to be played at least, and sure you could come sneak up on any tank to take it out from a weak spot but since the only difference is about one shot its still better to engage from afar as far as AV I sniped about 5 fg users that tried to kill me
its more a sniper fit then anything else so I would not take it out into the field I'd just like to see more diversity in tanks and if this helps blues take out enemy maddies then thats great the sp investment for a tank like this isn't that high and its relatively cheap compared to well fitted tanks

thats kinda the whole point of the build, its basically a sniper so if you aren't in a good position you are already basically dead
most maps have at least one good ledge close to an escape route that leads back to the redline with a supply depo en route

Blood Immortal wrote:I admit that the fit does good for redline snip, but once I find you and if I can come right at you or sneak up behind then it is over. Now if you are out and about with a maddy and are alone then I will get you. Gunny's are so much more diversified than maddys, in my humble opinion.
lol why does everyone here sound like they used to be coward redline snipers
this fit is not meant for front line fighting but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be stuck in the redline or that you'll be able to sneak up on me
this fit engages at range and takes out targets fast, you can have two other with you to help either A: watch your flanks from AV and other tanks and B: help you to take out your targets even faster
so yes you could try to sneak up on me but as soon as you are spotted you are more then likely dead unless you take cover quickly, if you manage to get the jump on me sure you can take me out quickly but chances are I have the advantage of a vantage point and if not I can run away quickly using my escape route, gunnies have fast acceleration so they can get away fairly quick
if you do happen to see me close to the front line more then likely I will be close to a friendly turret or close to teammates
