And no, this is not a I am giving up post, those are dumb and you should be ashamed. I have been trolling these forums since 2013, my career as a Forum Warrior was rocky in the beginning, succeeded by a small year break. When I came back to these toxic yet addictive forums, and subsequently the game of DUST 514, I had in my mindset that I would take it upon myself to be nothing but a troll; no matter if I was loved or hated. And it worked(as you can see by my likes - and my forum presence; which in itself can be toxic) to a degree. Likes don't mean a thing when I can just post something about butts and get 50 likes.(exaggeration) Now, being a troll is fun, but sometimes it jades the line. So I have taken it upon myself to stop being a full-time troll on this here plantation. I am going to give more thought out responses other than "GG Scrub" or "Something something something darkside." I will still troll a little...a little....a little....I swear. I am going to be making more posts like my Petition for Racial Tanks or my Petition for Racial Heavy Weapons - You know, threads and posts that actually mean something. I suggest you check those threads out, and sign them. This is no narcissistic post. I am not trying to make some huge pronouncement, I just figured i would share my thoughts with the den of wolves. AND SO THIS DOES NOT GET CONDEMNED TO THE LOCKER ROOM. I want to know your ideas about DUST's future. This is not a thread about me(bar the above) this is a thread about you. What do you want to see in this game? Make Rattati's job easier and tell us what you want him to do. Prioritize fixing bugs and glitches and barring new stuff, would be me, but like I said, this is not about me(even though I know y'all agree.) I already know some have posted ideas in their own threads (Aeon, Aero, some people that I can't remember) // CCP RatMan has said that this game is a Tactical Shooter - he does not like the twitchiness. And as a tactical shooter, you would need aspects of such a thing. Now, DUST is completely unique, there is not another game like it, maybe Warframe but it isn't as addictive and it is not connected to another game such as EVE. And I am not calling for a Copy/Paste, far from it. But taking consideration from other successful tactical shooters(I swear, in the name of all that is holy, if you mention CoD I will hurt you) Like Rainbow Six, Star Wars Battlefront, and Killzone. We can get an Idea of how to make DUST like a tactical shooter. In my opinion, those 3 series are the best in their genre, which is why I included them. I am not saying we do it exactly, no copy/paste, this is IDEAS from others and turn them into our own. Also, I don't see much connection to DUST 514 and EVE: Online - except able to join corp/alliance, and Orbital Bombardments. Perhaps there is more than I am seeing, and if you could point them out to me, I would greatly appreciate it. I know Aeon Amadi has damn good ideas, like the one he recently posted about the Cosmic Rose, beautiful. I know Aero Yassavi has good ideas, like convincing Rat Man with that fabulous Power Core/Tiercide presentation. We have bright minds in this community, I want to see them shine.
