Through the way I see it, gunnlogi and gladius suck because of one mod. Shield boosters.
First off, they take ALOT of pg/cpu compared to what an armor rep would cost on a Maddie.
Imagine a dual repped and hardened Maddie. Now imagine a dual repped and dual booster gunnie. Won't happen.
Second, the moment you take damage while boosting, the damage cancels the booster and your left for dead.
Imagine a dual hardened and booster gunnie fighting a Maddie. When 2/3 shields are gone, you could regenerate your shields and keep fighting as the Maddie reps. You don't have any reps. That's what both of your boosters are for. Shield tanks would have a much better time fighting maddies with better boosters.
So basically, I'd like to see boosters have reduced pg/cpu and improved boosting. Make them (ccp) so that they don't cancel out when taking damage, instead, the damage starts to ale hp from the boost itself. And maybe even a double boost per boost.

It is no different for those on the ground who run shields, and CCP has yet to comment beyond there are no changes to be made.

There are but this is the biggest one I see. It's all on the regen. Armor can quickly regen while shields have to be there taking damage and letting you die.
