Ever since they were changed and we got more, they feel different and I don't seem to adjust to them.

And why the **** are they so *** **** expensive?
That plate is too small, either use the heavy plate or don't bother using one with that setup. Try using double plates, hardener, rep btw, stronger fit than the double rep, plate, hardener setup.

Dont fight AV without hardners, take distances from jumpy suits and sentinels (AV nades are what kills you 90% of the times) keep an eye on when your modules are going in cooldown. If you run out of hardners or nos in the wrong moment you ll be dead.

First of all, you don"t need an adv tank to do well. Better fitting is the only thing you get over a standard, but strength of mods is based on active time of mods or slots on the tank. You don't get more slots over a standard.
Forget plates. Use he best rep and then best hardeners. Mount two.
Forget damage mod. Fit for defense over offense. Engage tanks and be ready to disengage if they are fit more powerfully. Just use standard turret and support infantry with scans and or mCRU while laying down suppressive fire. Otherwise, specifically fit for anti-tank with a proto turret and watch your movements. Look at the map before moving out.
Usually, you can take out tanks from longer range when they don't have hardeners on. When you roll up to them they will pop hardeners or roll past you and flee if hardeners are going down.
Do not directly engage if their hardeners go up. Plot your path so you can roll over them and past them and get cover as you roll around for a recharge.
Rails are just plain OP. The only way you can fight them is to get up close and roll over, around and back and forth to dodge the turret. Shield tanks suck at this, but armor tanks can rep through the shots.
Never try engaging enemy rail tanks head on from a distance unless you can roll behind cover between shots. Keep moving around an enemy missle tank and a blaster tank is simply about outgunning and having enough time on hardeners or hit them from afar.
I have been more successful with anti-tank using a basic missile or rail while focusing on infantry assists at the objective and rolling off to recharge then coming back around than trying to specifically roll and roll around trying to chase a tank.
Always use the maddie or gunni for amall turret assists. Better than nothing.
DON'T SIT THERE AND SHOOT HEAD ON UNLESS YOU ARE LONG RANGE WITH A MISSILE OR RAIL AND THE ENEMY IS NOT USING A RAIL OR IS NOT ALREADY ENGAGING YOU!

That is a magnificent fit. Swarm-launchers would be "pissed" for sure.

And why the **** are they so *** **** expensive? First of all, you don"t need an adv tank to do well. Get the fitting skills up to lvl 3 first. No need to spend more points for the little you get at lvl 4 fitting skills. If you take anything to lvl 5 fitting then make it the turret. Better fitting is the only thing you get over a standard tank with an adv tank, but strength of mods is based on active time of mods or slots on the tank. You don't get more slots over a standard. Forget plates. Use the best rep and then best hardeners. Then fit pg mod to fit best or with mounting skills fit best second repper. Mount two hardeners and maneuver. Forget damage mod. Fit for defense over offense. Engage tanks and be ready to disengageor avoid if they are fit more powerfully. Then, go get an anti-tank fit tank if you do need more firepower. Just use standard turret and support infantry with scans and or mCRU while laying down suppressive fire. Otherwise, specifically fit for anti-tank with a proto turret and watch your movements. Look at the map before moving out. Usually, you can take out tanks from longer range when they don't have hardeners on. I have been more successful with anti-tank using a basic missile or rail while focusing on infantry assists at the objective and rolling off to recharge then coming back around than trying to specifically roll and roll around trying to chase a tank. Always use the maddie or gunni for small turret assists. Better than nothing. So, as the video showed, I should do a Maddie with rail(op and snipe) push against and strafe other tanks and use nitro scanner and heatsink and 2 hardener and 2 rep? Ok. Thanks.

To OP...... simplest advice I have for you and it will fly in the face on conventional wisdom (if there is such a thing on the forums) is to never assume your tank can actually successfully take hits.
Never ever assume that. Especially in your care with a 60mm plate that barely adds any armour worthy of note. You basically need a 120mm or dual hardeners and repairers to mitigate incoming damage as much as possible as fast as possible.
