Solo, always fit a damp. Complex damp if you can. It wont be hardcore scanners but you can ambush 90% of players.
The weapons are boss. I run mostly shield tank with kincats and reps...baller hit and run.

I wouldn't run proto unless against pubstompers or Nyain San jerks, so a cost-effective advanced build would be to just tank what you can, put a boundless cr, and improve your trigger finger.
