Obviously I have been away from the scene for the last 6 months, being half a world away from my PS3 will do that, so I don't really know any of the people putting their hands up nor am I in a position to comment on them. I am posting to remind you that regardless of what you may think being in the CPM is, its probably not that.
- People will make judgements on your performance while having no way to actually know what you are doing with CCP.
- You will be expected to keep silent on everything CCP tells you, even when you believe that the people should know.
- You will be fighting and convincing CCP on a billion different things, sometimes they listen, other times they don't or at least not fully.
- Depending on timezones of your fellow CPMs, yourself, CCP in relation to you or anyone else that they invite, you may need to stay up very late or wake up very early for meetings that may just stress you out. One time there was a meeting that took place when i needed to head into work so I hooked my motorcycle helmet to my phone and stayed in that way!
Also another bit of advice for both the hopefuls and the voters; DO NOT VOTE/STAND FOR A CERTAIN CLASS, FEATURE OR SOMTHING YOU WISH TO CHANGE/PROMOTE chances are that this will not go well, and if it is something that you get, great but it won't be in the way you want, and if not? then congrats you/your vote is now useless.
DO vote for someone who has a high stress tolerance to the stage where it's nearly sadomasochistic and a bit bloody minded. These are the people who will make a lasting effect on dust and who will actually last in the CPM.

Also, I have a really good memory on random **** like this. Yes, i was in CPM0 (hence this post), Yes i moved to japan hence the "being half a world away from my PS3" bit and no, didn't brag about betamax, just said i missed them, this game and the community in some weird sadistic way.

Maken Tosch wrote:That is all correct. As an Eve Online player since the Empyrean Age expansion, I have see many candidates run on platforms based on very specific classes/features/changes. Their platforms were so narrow that it made them useless once they are voted in.
The only candidates that will get my vote will are the ones that are flexible, have a very broad understanding of how things are, have an analytical mind, and are known to always do their best regardless of the challenges. All very true, that being said at least one of the CPMs from this generation had that and left. Thats why I said it needs real bloody mindness.
We have 10 years of CSM mistakes that we can learn from.

Even if you can't tell what's going on behind the nda you can certainly stop a fellow cpm from creating things like the blue donut right before the rouge wedding.
Um, so long as they are not breaking NDA or using known bugs for personal gain, a CPM has no right to say how another CPM should play the game. If you don't get that then you are certainly not right to the job

Bright Cloud wrote:Jenza to be honest i dont see a point to run for CPM this late into the game. The game wont get ported to next gen and with that is doomed to death. there is still a point but to be honest, based on my experience on the CPM I genuinely would have thought it would be on PC by now.
