My advice to you - unsolicited - as someone old enough to be your grandfather, is to immediately delete the game. You really don't need to immerse yourself in this virtual universe populated primarily with sociopaths intent on taking you for all you have. In all seriousness, spend your time in the real world at this stage of your life. Waste this time now and you can never get it back. Listen to guy. Take his advice. Go to the real world and establish yourself as a corporate lawyer from Washington DC and then progress towards becoming an internet spaceship mogul like This Guy. Remember, that not all of those who play Eve Online are just little kids. According to CCP games, the vast majority of Eve Online subscribers happen to be between 25-35 years of age as of right now. Many of them, including this other guy happen to be highly established in their real lives as either engineers, programmers, Washington DC corporate lawyers, and even real-world diplomats and day traders. Yeah, Eve Online is no kiddies game. Going to naval academy, aerospace engineer and pilot. In NJROTC, drill commander Straight a's. And I MTB like everyday. No need to worry about me. + I have like more than 5 telling me that everyday. Also youth group church leader. I also teach my self programming. AND ALOT MORE (no space to say it all) Many tell me to back down as I'm really advanced for my age but, isn't it good? Dust and eve are just my electronic entertainment as well as watching soccer(and playing it) Your in high school and a youth group leader? The youth group for me is high schoolers.

It's possible to play EVE for free buying PLEX with ISK, but it's not worth the time, and is exceedingly difficult when you're first starting out with low skills. You can mow your neighbor's lawn and make the cost of your subscription a lot faster than you can grind it in EVE.
Best PvE idea ever!

In other words, mowing your neighbor's lawn is like mining in Eve Online. It's a boring profession but man it's rewarding and low-risk. You can even start a corporation on it.

Except you can't mine a PLEX's worth of ISK in the time it takes to earn a PLEX worth of $ cutting grass (especially when you're first starting out). The ratio is probably 30-1 or more.

Market trading is another thing to go for, but you'll have to dedicate a lot of time training up almost all of the trade skills and you have to figure out which items are lucrative for trading with good margins and movement. It's mainly for those looking to make a little bit of ISK on the side while mission running, mining, or pvping.

I did pretty decent in eve by running missions, but I don't have much of a chance to do level 4s with my tengu before I quit. Most of my profits I owe to a plex I sold and a null sec mining corp I was in for about a month |
