I played dust often from the beginning of open beta until the fanfest where legion was announced then my play time began to dwindle until my PS3 finally kicked the bucket and I got a PS4. Every now and again I get on, on someone elses PS3 but not very often. I logged in not long after we got warbarges and again last weekend for a few fights which made me curious as to what is going on with DUST these days. So without further aimless rambling my questions.
1. I see we now have more kinds of tanks not just Gunnlogi's or Madrugars are these the reskins that are meant to simulate the Amarr and Min vehicles or just extra HAV's?
2. Whats with all the BPO's? I remember when they got removed and I am pretty sure CCP said it was because they were bad for the economy.
3. Is PC still active or not so much anymore?
4. Legion whats the deal? Had a look in the legion sub-forums and it seems like its dead any news about it or not. If not what is the long term plan for dust I have had a brief glimpse of the road map but seemed more about fixes than future content/developments. Is dust going to PS4 or PC or just chugging along till Legion or until people stop investing in dust.
5. CPM, looked in the CPM forum but didn't browse too much did CPM 1 seem effective in most people's eyes? also correct me if I am wrong but hasn't this years fanfest taken place which is usually when CPM/the eve version whose name eludes me at the moment is announced?
6. What is a reasonably active time for EU players I tried playing a few games last weekend but I had to wait about 15 minutes between games is the activity quite low now or did I hit a rare low spot (FYI was about 8-9PM BST)
Cheers for any and all responses unless its SOONGäó

Ooooh, I would actually like to hear the answers to most of these questions as well Medic.
Edit- The answers were not as exciting as I hoped they were gonna be. |

I will answer the ones I am confident enough in my information to answer.
2) There was no economy anymore, given the PC passive ISK era and everything that broke, so BPOs were wanted and released. Its a good revenue stream for Dust, and it makes players happy if they want them.
Also, some BPOs, like APEX suits can be bought with a combination of ISK and LP, so you don't have to use AUR if you are willing to grind.
3) I don't PC, but from what I understand it is in a rebuilding phase. PC 2.0 is being heavily worked on by CCP, and should include things like Raiding, and lots of other changes, and will hopefully be more fun, more inclusive, and less/non exploitable.
4) No one knows about Legion (that is saying anything anyways). What we do know is that everyone wants a port in some form or fashion, including CCP devs, but as far as we know, Legion has not been axed or green lit.
An interesting note is that CCP gave up copyrights to Legion, which suggests at the very least, if they do port it, Legion will not be the name.
5) IMO CPM1 has been great. They have worked a lot with Rattati and made much progress, though shrinking numbers aren't helping any.
Edit: 1) If those variants you see are proto tanks, know that CCP is developing the other racial tanks, and simply using existing tank structures with new racial skins to differentiate. This is the best they can do at the moment.

Now my memory is extremely foggy as its been a while since I've played, but when most BPOs were removed, some were allowed to stay right? (I want to say the LAV BPO from the $100 pack was allowed to stay)
Also, when BPOs were reintroduced were they brand new never before seen BPOs? Or were they the same BPOs that had been removed? |

Eve said something about getting rid of legion rights or something (can't remember link) but most assumed that they (CCP) quit in legion. CCP haven't said that but we do know that they are more focused on dust atm.

The brought back some of the old ones, but all the APEX suits are new.
They released a slew of new ones (skins) like Marines and Thukkar (sp?) as well.
With many more on the way.
Plus they are going to put in tiercide with power cores, which should reduce the strain on the hardware, and improve performance.

Welcome back!
Dust is fun. Still very frustrating at times, but funner than ever. As for your questions, I'll do my best.
1.) Don't know a ton about them. Sorry I'm off to a bad start, but I'm not a tanker, and I almost never see these new tanks on the field. I'm pretty sure they're not the Min, Amar tanks though.
2.) Economy has changed. Infinite ISK from PC is long gone, which is a good thing. In the meantime, BPO's and APEX suits allowing a lot of people to turn profits in pubs, while not offering a real advantage. Opinions are mixed, but I think they help new players more than anyone, so I'm all for them.
3.) There are still plenty of PC corps. Cap Aq is on top right now, and I believe they just fought off a huge attack. Haven't been following too closely tho.
4.) CCP hasn't made a peep since the 'faux-announcement'. Secret plans are likely in the works. The game has been getting a huge makeover over the last few months. Dust is also under new management since then. I suspect Legion was 'announced', CCP felt the massive backlash of disenfranchised PS3 players, then a sort of coup took place in CCP, and the whole Legion idea was scrapped, to be replaced by a better port plan. But that's just my theory, yours is as good as anyone elses.
5.) Vote Talos Vagheitan CPM2 :)
6.) I don't know. 15 minutes seems much too long for a pub match though. I'm in NA.
Hope that helped, and hope to see you on the battlefield.
