GÇó Why can't the forge gun have a scope? some small semblence of zoom might help with sniping clones and vehicles!
GÇó What defines 'Local' chat and why can't I get rid of it? Local means 'near your location', yet there are always people on there from America or Mexico - I live in the UK!!??
GÇó What does changing the graphics settings do exactly? I thought I'd whack it onto 'low' to see if it improved performance (it doesn't by the way) at all, yet the game looks and behaves exactly the same - why the heck is there an option on there that does nothing??
GÇó Why doesn't an Ambush match end once the last clone is eliminated? It takes a good few seconds, if not minutes for a game to end once you've already won/lost, why is it not when the counter reaches zero, the match ends?
GÇó Who made the barriers so high!? Seriously - it's the future, why do they still have railings around the edge of ledges and things - and why the heck are they JUST too high!? either you can't jump over them, or you can't shoot around them - why aren't they precisely waist height or below?? we have 'curb' type things that stop you in your tracks too - is there any plans to go around the levels and smooth the edges at all?
1: The Forge Gun is a heavy anti-vehicle cannon meant to shoot at large targets, not a sniper rifle, nor is it anything resembling intended to be such. the ability to blap infantry is a secondary perk, not it's primary function. You don't need a scope to hit a 10-15 meter long tank at 200m range.
2: Local Chat is representative of your position in the EVE online Systems and Stations. "Local" is a chat between DUST and EVE players sharing the same system in the Tranquility server and has jack all to do with Real-world geography. It is the Default channel for all players.
3: Lowering your graphical settings will often increase bad frames per second by decreasing the render load on the system resources.
4: Are there still enemy clones on the field shooting at you? Thought so.
5: Barriers are intended for cover, not parkour-vaulting. However, fitting Myofibril Stimulants in your high slots on the dropsuit will increase your jump height.

first point. because forging requires skill. screw scopes, scopes are for pussies.
Agreed - can I direct you here, I am familiar with forging intricacies... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmCnFVIFx3A
I gave a more complete answer, as seen above. The "it requires more skill" is not an answer to the question.

back to your response to forge guns, the maneuverability of the Dropships and LAVs is actually supposed to be an advantage against getting eradicated my things like forge guns.
Making it easier to hit them would pretty much relegate them to the troll fit bin.
to a point. In my opinion the need for an antitank weapon to kill an LAV is a large contributing factor to why everyone feels they MUST have AV weapons rather than having a few die-hard specialists.
but the forge gun is intended to be a massive-damage skillshot weapon with a high probability of a miss against fast-moving, or infantry-sized targets. The assault variants of the forge gun actually do splash damage, those are intended to be the go-to weapons for "sniping" at smaller targets.
