Lately I've been using remotes, and, in what I believe is a unique way.
But to my dismay, about every 5-7 deployments, I get a "-50" friendly fire penalty, when I'm nowhere near another player. I believe this must be a blue berry shooting a remote due to not knowing what it is.
I was kicked out of a FW on Saturday night, I believe, due to too many of these coupled with an actual friendly fire incident that I did commit.
I wanted to report this friendly fire as a bug. I have mixed feelings.
On one hand, it IS friendly fire, accidental, but still it wouldn't have occurred if I didn't place the remote.
On the other hand, it seems ridiculous to be penalized for somebody else's poor judgement. I mean really, you have the thinking "oh, what is this? Let me shoot it".
What is your vote, is it fair to penalize somebody else for a blueberry idiocy?
(I guess we already do it by allowing blueberries to have uplinks without training.)

its sort of your fault but its not your fault at the same time. you placed the remote in fw but the blueberry himself didn't read the damn instructions on the thing, you know, this thing goes BOOM if you poke it funny. if there were actually tutorials on how stuff works available for the newbs to see when they make a character then maybe we would have slightly more competent players."slightly more competent"
Ewar? What's that? Some kind of fancy new way of being lazy? Learn how to use your eyes and ears you maggots.

Most blues shoot them just to troll; not out of ignorance.
I'm not sure how to get around it... If it's changed so that REs don't count as friendly fire they would probably used to freely TK everyone.

I think they should just turn off FF for FW.
It makes more sense in PC where all your team mates have some vested interest, but in FW it only gives griefers something to work with.
Its just one more annoyance than can be avoided in pubs.

I usually give the blue a warning by shooting at them(most just shoot me back) so I just stand there waiting for them to hack and then "zap..boom" followed by laughter.
I don't shoot friendly remotes... Often.

I would like it where if I am looking at a RE then an indicator will popup to allow my teammates to also see it. Many times I will see a remote explosive thrown to the ground near my team and I am unable to immediately destroy it because some unaware blueberries are trying to perform a raindance on top of it. |

More than often they do it to annoy the person who threw the remote.

You shouldn't be able to destroy friendly REs.
That being said, this game needs a teamkilling penalty akin to War Thunder's, rather than just -50 When you teamkill in war thunder, you're penalized the cost of whatever you teamkill, and the player you killed gets reimbursed with your money.

Don't fluxes set them off? More likely than a blue shooting it at close range. |
