is the people complaining about it.
every now and then I may get lucky, a heavy will come round the corner but I've got him on my scans, I have a triple-complex-damage-modded prof 5 viziam charge shot loaded up.
the heavy is MLT and has roughly 900hp, the charge shot to the head more than depletes shields than 4-5 follow-up shots kill him, 900hp dead in a second, that person has no idea what's going on and complains without knowing just how powerful my gun was, not due to the gun's base stats, but my investment (sp) and my risk (isk) in running it.
those are the kind of people complaining about the scr, the ones too ignorant to acknowledge that, maybe just maybe, you got shot in the head with a gun that does over 100hp of damage to shields per shot because of time and ISK investment and you were in a MLT suit?
remember, some people are just really good, and some people just get lucky. A good SCR fit costs 150k as well! Maybe the person with that much at risk should have the edge? Or should your MLT suit perform just as well, just because it's not fair that somehow, the other person has been playing longer than you.
Sometimes I'm surprised at how heavies can't win in 1v1 VS my Viziam, as they're in CQC with a gun which has no spool time, great efficiency in CQC and high DPS, but if they lose in that situation, it's mostly because...they suck! People need to stop expecting to win based on stats and other variables, just accept your reactions, the lag and what you saw plain and true, don't crunch numbers trying to work out why the situation didn't work when you're only trying to prove the other guy must be cheating or using OP weaponry. crunch numbers to plan your next attack!
It's not OK to say "you just suck" but when it comes to the SCR debate, 99% of the time, you just suck, try another suit, try another weapon, watch the efficiency rating, and TRY AGAIN. Yes your shield suit will be useless, you know this so why use it and then complain about it? Use another suit.
So what you want is for our weapon to be ineffective VS other people, because they may be new, have a lot less health, the problem there is the new player being in the same match as the vet, but we can't fix this, because the player count isn't high enough!
It's too little, too late, DUST isn't big enough to stop these stomps so:
1) accept that this is how it is
2) accept that it probably won't change
3) play the game for what it is, not what it isn't.
4) as hopelessly addicted as I and other people are, no matter how matured they are into the "bitter-vet" portion of their life, there ARE other games out there and you CAN put this one down.
5) realise that the player count is too low to find appropriately-skilled people within an acceptable time-frame and that the separation of players may have a huge effect on wait times, encouraging people to leave, meaning you just killed your own game! We need to be together not apart! |
