That in all their game trailers, all the Dropships have a warning sound system. But they denied us deliberately of having any sort of warning system on our Dropships.

Do you mean an audible lock on alert?

Wouldn't help with forgers or plasmers.

Those aren't the problem. I'm a Forge gunner myself, I give props to Forge Gunners and Plasma Cannons. Swarms however need a warning system. The Swarm Launchers is a no Skills required weapon. Just lock on and shoot.

I use a PLC a lot and it takes video game skills and some luck to even hit a moving Dropship. I am sure forges are the same.

Swarms may not take much skill, but without them Dropships would be extremely difficult to deal with.

At the speeds they travel now, I can assure you by the time the first volley hits your Dropship and you're hauling ass to fly away the second and third volley are on their way.

 Agreed.

But you have to remember as well that the Infantry with a swarm launcher is also taking some risk.

There isn't much easier pickings than a merc staring up at the sky with his SL out oblivious to the AR or CR about to cut him to ribbons.

To your original point, do you think that if you got an audible alert to a lock on that the AV'er would ever land a second volley or a third?

No, they need flares or something to draw off at least one volley of missiles. That would be good for tanks too, but it would help so much for drop ships. There should be a counter to a weapon that is so easy to use.

 Enough time to react.

There's no risk. Usually all Swarmers are Minmitrash Commandos with a Proto Swarm and Proto Combat Rifle

there should be a continuous but subtle beeping sound throughout the locking on process but when its locked on it should beep 2 times very quickly every .5 or 1 seconds.

 Thank you! Someone who understands.

I do agree it takes skill to use a FG and Plasma.
Which brings me back to the days OMS in ambush was crazy.

I called out a Incubus and as I was flying up in the air I got picked off by 2 forge gunners (Probably breach FG) and within seconds of just flying about 80 meters in the air I was taken down in a mere few seconds. FG FTW!

I don't mind Forguns or Plasma Cannons. Just the unchecked OP Swarms

There used to be one, and a little light that would go off in the transport area. For whatever reason they took it away
