When all seems lost, and a hero is needed most, and the Dust 514 player base shivers in the cold shadow of true peril... Talos Vagheitan answers the call.
I will be running for CPM.
Just kidding about the true peril stuff. Overall I think Dust is in a good spot right now, although that's not to say there isn't a ton that needs doing.
Take a look at my sig to see what I'm all about. Or just ask.

what good spot is that bro?
these do not look like good spots being the ps3 is close to ten years old and risks a discontinuation from fabrication
the ps3 sales numbers of new hardware are dropping a lot
the dust 514 playerbase numbers are dropping
E3 just came out and the buzz is most folks want a Ps4
you still there bro? |

There's plenty reason to be optimistic about Dust, bro.
The game is the funnest it's ever been, and arguably most balanced and diverse.
And yes, more and more players will start to get PS4's and move on etc. But there's a reason the game is still going, bro.
I believe Dust could probably survive another year or so on PS3. That's a lot of time to continue to develop and streamline to get ready for the eventual port, if a port doesn't happen much sooner.
There is actually a fairly large base of loyal players who despite all the ups and down, stick with the game. Either playing the game, or being a part of the discussion on the forums, like yourself, bro.
Unless you're just here to be the proverbial wet blanket?

i saw where just last week folks on f+¦rums had threads about busted comms
i moved on to the ps4 when i understood that dust on ps3 is never going to work properly
dust 514 was funnest back in replication
hopefully ccp gets the idea of a ps4 port of replication with all bugs fixed and properly running 24 v24 and 32 v32 battles

Yeah, it's dumb for CCP to get free labor from dedicated players willing to donate their time. |

Gonna query the '128v128' thing in your platform again.
Also, it's not hypothetical anymore?

Query away!
The number is certainly up for discussion. I don't consider this kind of goal a realistic expectation for as long as the game is on PS3, but is still what I'd like to see eventually in an ideal scenario.
I'll summarize briefly.
I feel FW should be large scale warfare, such as 128 v 128.
PC should be smaller, yet more refined and competitive.
The full details are in my signature link. Feel free to ask questions I don't cover there.

It's dumb to think that anyone will have an unbiased opinion of what the community actually wants. Everyone ever voted has always spoke for changes that favored their playing style and their corps. play style.

Well let's change that.
Take a look at my signature, you'll see I propose nothing that favors my playstyle.
You should also be happy to learn my corp is long since retired from PC

IMO, the best CPM candidate doesn't advocate, speak for, or "represent" the community in an expected sense - they work tirelessly to find ways for the community to represent themselves in a general spectrum. The only time a CPM is really in any position to "represent" the community is when they and CCP are discussing something too early for public consumption. So, instead of balance changes (which CCP Rattati can just make a forum thread for) it'd be more along the lines of things like the APEX suits when they first came out. I can only imagine how controversial those things were on intiial proposal/conception.
