Really the only suit I've never been able to knife. Cal assaults have this sh**ty blue shield hit detection also.
Proud owner of 4 proto commandos and 3 proto sentinels. All except amarr sent, its a beginner heavy tbh.:p

sorry to say but this issue is most likely an issue on your side, this so called blue shield isn't a Cal only issue and it happens with armor too
I suggest for you to reinstall the game and use a wired connection if you have less then 10mbps internet
also if you play without AA the issue should diminish or go away as there will be no conflict between false swipes (makes it seem like you hit the target when you actually missed) |

Wrong. Have AA off. Still blue shield.
Especially with shotgun

like I said the issue is most likely on your side if this is happening
I used to experience it often, and yes even with AA off so if you haven't taken care of all the issues on your side, could even be fps lag, this will continue to happen
although at times of server side lag or when you haven't restarted your ps3 for a while that could also be the culprit |

I didn't say it wasn't on my end. But turning AA off doesn't help.

it leads your shot if you have AA on and the magnetism makes your bullets go in that direction, so if you have someone doing the ol wiggle wiggle the bullets may at times go completely around them or at least that's what it looks like, cant confirm this for sure but there is a way to test it although its not easy to replicate on purpose
if you don't have AA on your bullets either hit or they don't which removes the "blue shield" meaning you either did get the hit or you didn't, with AA it may register as a hit but no bullets actually hit the target
the reason I say this is because when I used to experience heavy lag, I would notice that my rail weaponry and other guns would register as hits but no damage would be taken or sometimes the ammo would not even be used up, I did some testing but the answers were inconclusive as there seemed to be many reasons why this happened but most of it can be put on lag
