I've got 123 mil SP and I wouldn't care a bit. This SP does me no good if the game is dead.
I like the idea, I just don't think SP is the issue. It's ISK. How long would it take to get enough SP to run an ADV fit? How much better would lower SP players fair if they could afford losing 7 or 8 ADV suits in a hard fought win?

I'd hope most people would value their time enough to just use one of the boosters that drop in boxes and daily missions. I just can't see how this would benefit veterans. |

And ofc they have higher SP than me, I only got like 17mil SP. so this makes me happy. it only takes like 8m sp to be somewhat competent. I was already doing clan or in this case (corp) battles butting heads with the likes of PBFHz second best corp in the dust at the time. We lost obviously. Then i fought hellstorm and we lost. My younger days in dust... i dont even know wtf was i doing. Well guess what, i was wearing advanced gear both of those battles other than my rifle which was the only thing i had maxed out. Back in the days when there was proficiency skills for range and damage. So you can image... you could make some seriously OP fits and go like 30 and 0 all day. Also back when people had like kdr's of over 10, 20 and even up to 30. I came in here from mw3 thinking wtf? why do these people have such high kdr's?. Then i found out why because i was also doing the same when i reached 8m sp. Newbros would get slaughtered and spawned killed on manus peak. Yet somehow dust still managed to keep relatively a high player base. This post is intriguing to me because I was part of PFBHz and Hellstorm in those days ._. Now I feel on par with everyone else even with 75m SP, not as highly skilled as I was back then. I dunno why, maybe it is the changing meta or something.
Largely it's due to the implementation of bullet adhesion and increased AA. Before if a red dot aimed near you but not at you, they missed and you stayed alive killing them. Now, anyone that can aim even marginally close to you hits you for some damage, even if you killed them, they've done damage that's left you weak enough for his buddy to finish you off whereas you might've engaged a second time before AA/BA with nearly full health. Not to mention the hugely increased weapon ranges letting people at 100+ meters still ping you for considerable damage.
TL;DR: AA and BA with longer ranges has made everyone dangerous regardless of actual personal skill.

Given enough time and activity, newbros would begin to close the experience and wealth gap which separates them from veterans. This could make for rapid, activity-focused and performance-driven career advancement.
Thoughts? Good idea +1 I think the opposite should also be true. Massacre new players with your 50Mil+ Main should net you next to nothing. Whenever i've proposed this vets pile onto the thread wailing and crying and threatening to leave the game forever.
i guess we lost a whole lot of vets, i dont see any complaining.

Thoughts? I like it.
However I would only have the Skill point disparity work until you hit 20 million skill points. At that point, if you specialized, you should be just about as good as you can be in your chosen specialty. There really is no difference between someone with 25 million SP and someone with 100 Million SP in a single encounter if they are both playing their specialty roles. The only difference is that the 100 million SP player can come back with a completely different fit after dying and still be fully effective.
I like the ISK bonus based on Meta level and think that should apply to everyone. It would make facing a Proto Stomp more lucrative and less depressing.
