Im a scout. Simple as that. Put knives in the fattie's bum. So i decided i would finnaly try the hmg. It was fun. Specifically i played speed heavy. And i just got the assault variant of the hmg and looked at the stats. Arent those breach weapon type stats? 56 dmg is really huge,not even the kalakiota rail rifle hits that hard.

Kinda. I prefer they refuse the range on the 'assault' variety and rename it the breach, then bring back the old assault hmg, BUT increase ammo to 600, increase rof, and reduce heat build up.

You missed the sweet spot of HMG dominance lol. Now half the time you shoot people and the hits barely register. The breach hmg is fun but that lil baby magazine is sad.

No, breach and assault weapons are just inconsistent.
Originally, "assault" meant range. Somehow that got lost in translation, probably when assault scramblers became a thing.
The "tactical" assault rifle was originally automatic with a slow RoF, and was only named that because the name "assault assault rifle" just didn't have that nice ring to it.
