gabriel login wrote:what i would like to know is who is making it an whos the target an what effect it has on the targets stats. you cant just build a gun an give it random numbers as damage, you must be able to see the weapons, suits an gear as all one, you must think of the game like a real world an put your self in the seat of a real weapons builder, you must ask what is it like on the battle field an what problems a weapon or suit might face. like mobility, power use,how much cpu use, an ammo max an use , what the suit it was made to beat, the suite that counters it , an the suite that is so. you must ask things like what is the ammo type, the damage type , what each stat is doing to both counter an aid the weapon as well as the suit. only then when you see it all like that then balance will be found. He isn't even sure if he made the weapon the way he wanted it yet you're already crying its OP? For crying out loud man, you "SCRUMBLERZ IS OP" people are getting really annoying

It was kind of fun. Can that weapon use charge burst ? Sadly no, that was literally what I was aiming for take a RR model, make it approximate the bolt pistol in function and make it a Cal heavy. US SOF uses the mk46 use it as a reference and it's characteristics as opposed to a RL hmg. You already have a heavy weapon, its Amarr and Gallente's turn

Mina Longstrike wrote:TBH I think all races should have a heavy AI and AV weapon. A twin-linked heavy rail weapon could work pretty well for caldari.
Give it a big magazine and only a moderate RoF, have its targeting reticule be something like ( o o ) when moving but as you stand still (or 'aim' it) the individual rails align so it goes like (o o) to (oo), maybe something like 230-240dps per rail. This allows it to be used at long range without being 'OP' because it's likely only hitting with one rail (but it has the magazine to do it ALL DAY LONG) but as targets get closer it can bring that second rail into play causing it to do substantially more DPS. Heavy anti infantry and anti vehicle weapons would be a dream come true
