Also - and yes I know it was the weakest of the 3 novels - The Burning Life had a chapter dedicated to a pair of Agents (mission givers in EVE) visiting a very liberal Gallente community, and having some experience with the body-modding culture there. It was mentioned that some people mod animal traits onto themselves, thus further solidifying what Aeon posted.
Considering how many furries I know that play EVE Online, I think it's kinda neat that CCP acknowledges their presence.
Anyone remember the days of Furries vs The Internet? That seems so far away now...
