Steam supports: United States Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP), Russian Rubles (RUB), Brazilian Reais (BRL) or Euros (EUR) depending upon your location. Even if you don't live in one of those countries you can use PayPal.

CCP sells Eve through Steam and through their website. No reason why they can't do this with Dust 514 if the currency thing really is an issue.
Speaking of "an external step between you and the customer"... Sony/MS require all patches and updates to go through their own internal QA processes. This adds time between when CCP finishes a patch and when the patch finally hits our consoles. On Steam CCP releases a patch when they are done developing it. No middle men 
Furthermore, test servers for Dust 514 are unlikely on Sony consoles. I believe this is due to the test servers requiring a second client download and Sony is not okay with that. On Steam users can download test clients or even beta patches pre-production release easily.
Plus, you know, consoles are inferior to PC gaming in other ways, but we will stick to the PSN vs. Steam argument for now.

As resolution is concerned I sit on a couch and the human eye cannot not tell resolution past 8 feet (I think it was 8 feet) so any thing over 1080 at the distance of most home entertainment setups is a waste. Couch, + Controller, +Morph will be a balls on fire hoot.

Too bad, but just think you can play goat simulator and all kinds of indy games. You don't need $3k to destroy a PS4's hardware stats. Hell, you need roughly $450 to build a PC to surpass the current gen consoles.
And lol @ the indy game comment  PCs play games from indy to AAA and you know it. Consoles get a handful of exclusives, and with the exception of certain Nintendo titles and franchise flagship mascot titles (e.g God of War for Sony), many of those exclusives one day end up on PC as legit ports.
Or you can just download an emulator in a year or so when the PS4 is LONG since obsolete and play PS3/4 games on it

When companies realized 10 years ago it was not the hardware but the media content that would determine platform they made changes to their operations. PC owners are in denial of these realities. Are we really basing a platform's worthiness on how many GOTY it boasts?
Look, take a minute to skim this when you have a few minutes. It's lengthy, but it explains why PC gaming is the better gaming platform thoroughly and cites its sources. It does so better than I can, I'm sure.
This isn't a cop out. I'm just tired of rehashing this with every dedicated console gamer out there
