Looking at the playing demographic of Dust 514 it might be sensible to look at companion ports for Dust than simply going to either PC or PS4.
Pew Research Center Hispanic Trends MARCH 7, 2013 wrote:Closing the Digital Divide: Latinos and Technology AdoptionOverviewLatinos own smartphones, go online from a mobile device and use social networking sites at similarGÇöand sometimes higherGÇörates than do other groups of Americans, according to a new analysis of three surveys by the Pew Research Center. The analysis also finds that when it comes to using the internet,1 the digital divide between Latinos and whites is smaller than what it had been just a few years ago. Between 2009 and 2012, the share of Latino adults who say they go online at least occasionally increased 14 percentage points, rising from 64% to 78%.2 Among whites, internet use rates also increased, but only by half as muchGÇöfrom 80% in 2009 to 87% in 2012. Over the same period, the gap in cellphone ownership between Latinos and other groups either diminished or disappeared. In 2012, 86% of Latinos said they owned a cellphone, up from 76% in 2009. Among the biggest drivers of these increases are spikes in technology adoption among foreign-born Latinos and Spanish-dominant Latinos, the surveys found. Both groupsGÇÖ rates of going online and cellphone ownership increased sharply since 2009, helping to reduce the digital divide between Latinos and whitesGÇöand also reducing gaps within the Latino community itself.
We can still have our pew pew to the face on rendered ground sockets with the PS3/PS4/PC client, but it might be beneficial for the expansion of the brand if we port menus and chat tools over to a mobile platform management app.
What would be the 'game' activity to this mobile experience? Read this topic as a primer before diving into those Clash of Clans game suggestion.
Raiding another player's war point reserve: Raiding another player's warbarge could be set up around the system hacking interface as use in Eve. Defender sets up hack system (pays warpoints to set up different configurations and trap nodes), attacker must spend warpoints to initiate a hack on another player's warbarge (they do not get this initiation fee back). If they lose, defender gets x amount of attackers warpoints. If attacker wins, they get x number of the defender's war point reserve. https://youtu.be/fhQ0VRTLcas

Allthough bit off a cynic remark from my side, i do like the idea... imo dust can't be ported enough, and Jadek's idea's are good... Don't see any reason for not making an app, if they're planning to keep dust alive... CCP could let people buy Aur via google playstore and the neo-com on my phone would be great... and an integrated improved version of trading would be nice too... Edit: forgot to mention... advertisement opportunities? Or is that a no-go...? Advertising might be immersion breaking depending on the content. CCP is also exploring crowdsourcing science/mechanical turk tasks. https://youtu.be/C5QLgQCkdoc
This could be a way to additionally fund use of a mobile platform.

First of all, this is a global game, and more likely than not, that research poll was likely a US poll, which would be applicable if this were solely, or very significantly, a US based game.
However, this poll and its data would not apply to the South American, Canadian, European, Asian, and Oceanic contingent of our player base.
Had this merely been a satire thread based upon all the current "Port to X" threads (which is what I came in thinking), I would have come away more satisfied.
Sigh. A lot of research supports increased mobile adoption rates, and in some regions outpacing PCs.

Don't quote me on this, as I could be very wrong.
But I remember talking about this back in Beta, having a mobile app to access your neocom, and mess with fitting etc. The reason I was told this was not possible, was that Sony didn't want phone apps for PS3 games, as that would be a conflict with the PSP. Why would people buy one if you can just download a free phone app.
On the other hand, a PSP app never happened anyways (to my knowledge) so it's not like there was a ton of demand anyways. I this is still an existing clause it's another reason to move to pc over ps4.
