Destiny gets boring quick. i played demo and thought that was enough. 13 million who have played including demo doesnt mean they are active. I wouldnt be surprised if there had been 13 mil dust char created if you count biomassing farmers
Some random stats...
In its first month-and-a-bit, Loadout (F2P) saw 250.000 players on PS4
Since february 1st, 2013 (01/02-2013), there has been 1.84 million mercs created on DUST514 - this should include Alt Farming
Mercs were, mid-march 2015, created at a rate of about 100-200 per day, as opposed to 2-3000 medio September 2014
At the Rouge Wedding, CCP said there were 100.000 daily DUST514 players (was later trivially disproved)
CCP has been talking about ca 300.00 active (as opposed to daily) DUST514 players
A year ago, Oculus had shipped 60.000 development kits (v1), with another 45.000 DK2 sold, waiting to be shipped
Destiny sales stand at around 11 mill copies, for 13-14 million players, across 4 platforms; 1.37 million on PS3 vs 4.7 million on PS4
Prior to the last update (House of Wolves), active player count was still reported in 3-4 million range
Warthunder (F2P) saw 5 million players through it's beta and early PC release (2013) - earlier this week, in-game on PS4, it reported 43.000 online players, or easily 20x the online count of DUST514
In its first 6 months, Warframe (F2P) managed 1.7 million players on PS4 alone - at the same time, April 2014, DUST had less than 1.4 million mercs
DC Universe (F2P) had "over 18 million players" by last christmas, with 76% of game-time being on PS3+PS4, 40% of new players being on PS4, and console players spending 3.5x as much as PC players (Cant see if is total or ARPU)
It was only due to the console-success, that DC Universe was considered successful
GTA V sold 11.2 million on consoles in 24 hours, later 2 million copies on PC in just under a month
GTA V stands at 19.51 million on PS3 vs 6.6 mill on PS4 and 2.71 on XBox One
CS:GO on PC is repeatedly being reported as having an issue with cheaters, both in general gameplay, and during tournaments |
