You can guess which side lost. |

You can guess which side lost. Actually, variables exist. So, not really. Since you want to be a technical douche and apparently the implied tone of the statement didn't tip you off; I said you can guess, not you can determine with absolute certainty which side was the victor.
So go ahead and guess. It's fifty/fifty, I'm sure you'll get it. You're a clever boy, obviously.
And on that note. One of my pet peeves not only of Dust 514, but of folk in general. People who try to play the smartass for no reason whatsoever. |

It's rather offensive, to be honest. With how many folks have so much of that gear now, especially thanks to salvage and the strongboxes and keys from Dailies, some people would have thousands upon thousands of AUR that they didn't actually pay for. People like me who don't use it but can't be bothered to go into Assets and sell it off. Being able to get AUR back for AUR items would basically kill Dust 514's funding. Getting a very minimal amount like, say, 5-10 AUR would be kinda nice, but still far too easy for people to get more than they actually need, causing them to spend less money on Dust and, therefor, for Dust's lifespan to be shortened significantly. |

If you aren't going to be clear, people are going to misunderstand what you say. You came across, at least to me, as trying to be a smartass. I returned in kind. So there we go. Intentions have be stated and now there's no confusion. Sorry for being a ****.
Apparently that's censored. *****. Schlong. Wiener. ****. Meat tube. Critical Hit. Pick one of the previous, I was one and I apologize. |

I can assure you that some people are spending enough real cash to fund three of those who don't or can't currently spend money on the in-game gear. I understand where you're coming from, but I flatly don't think it's an excuse. Yeah, there are a couple of people spending real money to get things faster. But if they could just chunk their old AUR items they don't use for return AUR? AUR items that they probably have hundreds upon hundreds of for all the strongboxes they've opened in attempts to get BPOs or skins? They'd buy less. Maybe they'd even save their money so they could just build up a collection of AUR items and sell it off all at once to get what they need. Being able to sell AUR items back for AUR could quite possibly kill the game. I am not exaggerating at all. Going with your suggestion of 'base price - 10' I'm pretty sure I've still got at least $20 worth of AUR gear that I'll never bother with. That's enough to give myself a free respec. A respec I've been trying to purchase for literally weeks because for some reason I get an error whenever I go to pay for the AUR. Even from the PSN site. I can still pay my bills, buy food, and pay for other things, so my card obviously isn't the problem. And if I could get AUR another way, even though I firmly believe being able to get free AUR would hurt the game terribly, I would. Just because I want that respec so bad. |

My other main pet peeve when some yells "TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK!" across comms but fails to say where it is or what type it is. Instead of doing the logical thing they run screaming.
Or on a 4 point map when you ask why your second squad isn't defending 'B' and they respond with an 'Oooooh I thought we were supposed to be defending D' and you have that internal desire to scream '***** you mean to tell me out of the four options you had, three of which rhyme and understandably could be confused with the others you chose the one that does none of these things?' This is why people should use Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Detla, Echo over comms.
If they mistook B for anything else over text, though, uhhh... |
