One of the most frustrating things I find with Dust and CCP is the lack of acknowledgement of reported bugs.
I see posts where people complain CCP are not communicating their corporate strategy or future plans - this is normal business practice, whilst frustrating for us the alternative is what we had previously with the rouge wedding and false hope.
I see post complaining if Rattati answers a sarcastic or humorous post - again no problem with this either.
BUT - the lack of blue tags in the bugs section is astonishing.
Surely there must be a bug reporting and status process in a software development company - is it a secret? or is it a lack of resource? is it a policy to not respond?
Apathy in acknowledging bugs leads to apathy in reporting bugs - I can't believe anyone want's that.
I'm not referring to performance issues like lag or framerate drops as I appreciated these are not single cause issues or straightforward errors to fix, but there are plenty of thing that are seemingly easy fixes that get no attention.
Examples - the missing team roster has been reported several times but we still don't know if this is a feature or bug!
Missing isk bonuses for loyalty rank, experimental weapons with incorrect stats. Many go back years, like the wrong stats on the Dren Swarm launcher (to pick an random one).
CCP - please let us know if you acknowledge the reported bugs, let us know if they are being worked on, let us know the priorities, give us some feedback on bugs please. |

Part of me thinks that this should not be a cpm issue and cpm should focus on looking forward whilst ccp uses the feedback from the forum to prioritise and feedback on bug fixes. But as this is not happening perhaps cpm need to take a lead and force the issue with ccp as it's clearly missing.
I would certainly vote for someone who would champion this cause over new features.

That is a cynical view, which I entirely share. However, I would guess more players have left due to bugs than gun imbalances. |
