PC makes the most sense. Dust being on console was a stupid idea in the first place.

Dust was originally PC, and Legion was originally planned for PC, after CCP decided consoles suck

the PS4 has basically a gaming optimised OS and the architecture of a PC. The PS3 had a for its time a unique architecture and a processor which made coding for it a rather painfull task. They called it "cell architecture" if i remember correctly.

This. Dust is no game for consoles. It's changing to fast and is supposed to last longer than a console lifecycle anyways. The consoles just hurt it.

i dont know anyone who lives in a house without a pc.
the year is 2015. its almost a necessity.
i would think p.c would be much more accessible for everyone.

I've heard as well that they would only allow a free-to-play on their console if they have access to the servers it runs on, IE Microsoft having a backdoor into Tranquility.

I can't verify that statement, but it sounds like something they would do.

And that's what kills me about the people who still say they want Project Legion.

Project Legion's goal was to have NO EVE INTERPLAY WHATSOEVER when it released. In fact, you can go back and watch the presentations where they said that Dust - while receiving no client-side updates ever again - would maintain the link to EVE Online while Project Legion would be an entirely separate game running at the same time on PC!

They were literally going to put Dust 514 in a different box on PC and release it without one of the main things that got anyone interested in this game in the first place.

I mean, am I the only one that remembers all those articles on gaming news sites about Dust 514 after FanFest 2012? The shooter aspect of the game was almost barely mentioned compared to everyone being excited over that Orbital Strike they showed.

People fell in love with seeing a PC game interact with a Console game of a completely different genre in REAL TIME. Project Legion ignored that entirely, and I'm honestly glad that it appears to be gone.

PS4 doesnt allow awesome 3rd party tools, easy updates, parallel beta testing(SiSi). While a pc does. If you wanna play with a controller you can on a pc, no one's stopping you, while you have to rely on m/kb support from the dev on ps4, which is usually ****(dust comes to mind). If you can afford to splurge all that dough on aur, you can surely buy a good pc, they arent that expensive anymore.

i would like to discuss this civily.
up until now i have prefered consoles.
mostly for the controller, and ease of use.
but today they are almost the same thing, most games release on multiple hardware, plug whatever controls u like in and away you go.

if the only argument you ppl have against p.c is that u dont own a good one, thats rather selfish reasoning dont you think? i dont own a ps4, but thats not why i am against it.
if they annouced dust on it i'd buy one tomorrow, i just think it's complications we don't need.

i would like to point out that CCP is not gonna listen to this post and bother to shift Dust 514 to next gen as whats the point? they have a loyal playerbase on pc. can get more money from pc gamers. will have an easier way to update the games coding ect as they are already familiar with pc coding, EVE players will be able to play it as they wont need to buy a ps3/4 and also pc is better. also as someone said CCP first has to pitch their game to sony again ect costing money to set up displays ect and also will have to ensure they can fight with stupid games like Call Of Duty, Destiny (its just as bad as COD) Battle Feild (its good but its still not as good as it should but it is good. but ecspecially first mmonth+ after release is worst then anytime in dust bug wise) and any other new releases. Also games like fallout ect ect i understand that pc has alot of compatition but EVE players will span to it aswell and if they like it they will play both or whatever.
