This is a simple petition.
I would like to see the names of assault rifles (GALLENTE) changed to "plasma" rifles.
So, instead of assault rifle
It's assault plasma rifle, tactical plasma rifle, burst plasma rifle, and breach plasma rifle.
We also need the other variets of rifles. FE, tactical combat rifle.

Not going to sign as there are more pressing issues at the moment such as Shields being UP, no Gallente or Amarr Heavy Weapons, No Amarr or Minmatar tanks, Commandos being UP and Logi problems.
Also technically, there would be no "Assault" Plasma Rifle as it would already be an Assault Variant. Just as the Combat Rifle is already a "burst", the Rail Rifle is already a "breach", and the Scrambler Rifle is already a "tactical".
Give me my Plasma Flamethrower or give me a cookie!

Sorry to disappoint OP, but this is not something CCP wants to devote time on. Every mention of an "AssaultRifle" kind of attribute in their database would need to be replaced and that would take a lot of time and potentially cause many bugs.
Too much risk, too much time, too much effort, not enough reward.

Not necessarily as they could just change the mDisplayName and leave the name the database uses the same for all the items and skills. This still isn't perfect, but it wouldn't really cause that many bugs.
We want cake and tea.
