Refined Uranium Ore from Fallout 2!
Hmmmm nothing? I have too many that I like and not one I love enough.
If it really came down to choices it would be probably one of the following......the Red Ryder LE BB Gun from Fallout 2, the M60 from Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, and or the Shishkabob from Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
While Tactics isn't really canon.....shredding Super Mutants in the streets of St Louis with and M60 is memorable as hell.

Gentlemen please. Let's not argue. We are merely waiting for the announcement of something potentially historic. Grab a Nuka-Cola, pull up a chair.
*A schizophrenic addict suddenly appears behind you with 100 Sneak, 6 Agility, and 8 Intelligence, stealthboy having worn off, wearing an Exposed Prostitutes outfit and appears to be chewing on a Nuka Grenade [Explosives 43]. As soon as Jakar mentions Cola he raises the grenade in toast.....then suddenly starts screaming realising people can see him.

But it was more the concept wearing power armour and a tophat with the gun and freeing the slaves in that side quest. And marching alongside Liberty Prime dressed the same of course.
Vault 77's Jumpsuit and Pint Sized Slasher Mask..... because you finally transitioned from human to Puppet!

((Yes my Fallout Characters are psycho's, addicts, and generally ****** up people.)) Can't say I blame you. I mean the Wasteland is a ****** up place. Usually I play my characters as someone who is genuinely an average person in terms of behaviour but with a strange quirk. Like that one time I collected teddy bears in Fallout 3 even if it meant dropping something. Or my smooth talking seductive female courier with a penchant for cannibalism which she tried to resist but had to keep with. My favourite was probably my explosives guy. Used energy weapons on the side but explosives were the end all and be all. Addicted to Mentats like crazy. Took every perk that made things go bigger boom. Oh Annabelle... my sweet sweet missile launcher. Then he found Euclid's C-Finder and activated ARCHIMEDES II. I think I might do a playthrough like that again. Wait forget what I said about Dinner Bell and the Mysterious Magnum, while they are my favourites the best has to be the Rock-It Launcher. Nothing better than killing Enclave with Teddy Bears.
I've had a few characters.
My favourites were my mad bomber with a similarly explosive personality and a growing mental disorder after prolonged Stealthboy use.
Another was my Drugged/Druken Boxer character who was a fanatical fan of Herbert 'Daring' Dashwood and his Stalwart Ghoul Manservant Argyle and practised Drunken/Drugged Boxing with the intent to master the heart-tearioutest move 'THE EAGLE CLAW'!
The other was a the protagonist of a really long fan fiction I wrote about a former NCR mechanic who is released from prison to chase his 'brother' across the wastelands passing through the Mojave, across the Divide, and onward towards The Commonwealth. Over the plot this guy travels through ruins inhabited my mutants of horrific nature, comes into contact with a psychotic doomsday cult gathering pre-war technology believing it to be magic, and the darker side of the Commonwealth. Eventually realising he is chasing himself across the Mojave partially due to madness and his experiences he gives up and walks away from his 'quest'.
Tired of all of this he eventually he finds himself in a commune centred around the Abbey of the Road group near the ruins of Atlanta with a family. However this cult finds, mutilates, and amongst other things kills these new family members unknowingly killing his unborn son. It culminates in a gunfight in the ruins of Atlanta, a two year time skip and another journey with new characters after the Liberty Bell!
((Yes its a poor and generic plot but I don't have the proper synopsis on hand.))

Jakar Umbra wrote:If it's well written with interesting characters that move the plot along well. I think the "poor and generic plot" can be forgiven. Also that sort of madness seems almost Lovecraftian. And if it's even remotely Lovecraftian I might like it.
Since we're still here waiting in anticipation for Fallout 4. I have to ask what is one( because given it's fallout I'm sure there are many) of your most interesting, wildest or even terrifying moments playing a Fallout game. Question extends to any who stop by.
My most memorable was perhaps when I encountered the Dunwich building in Fallout 3. At the time I had no idea about the Cthulhu mythos that inspired it but it freaked me out to no end. It also actually gave me a pathological fear of ghouls in Fallout despite them being reasonably weak, Reavers not withstanding. I've rarely had a game change tone in such a way to make me feel like I was playing a completely different game.
The Wasteland was never the same after I left. Even now when I play Fallout 3 I don't even go to Tenpenny Tower. That land is cursed I tell you.
It was partly mix of Dark Tower, the Oddyssey, and Lovecraft.
The Dunwich Building was very atmospheric....especially since I stumbled in on it originally very low on stimpacks though I was pretty well positioned with a Sawed-Off and Spiked Knuckles.
One of my favourite parts of the franchise was crawling through the Nuclear Reactor in either Fallout 1 or 2 to get something some Paladin's wanted.
Best part recently would have to be the Subways in [Fallout 3]. I recently went to Washington D.C and knew how to get around roughly based on the subway stations. Point Lookout Mansion/Degenerate's Hut was pretty cool.

My most memorable was actually from New Vegas. I decided to give it one last go despite the fact that I really didn't care for it and I chucked in Wild Wasteland just to see what it was all about.
I found Indiana Jones' skeleton in the fridge and heard the robot cops at the entrance to New Vegas kill someone while saying "Exterminate". And a few other things I won't spoil.
This actually brings up something I want to ask as well. Between Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, we know that most people consider Fallout 3 to be the superior game and while I understand that after playing through New Vegas I realise it actually had more robust mechanics in terms of options available. Stats were more fleshed out, Every skill had a purpose, Even Luck which was pretty much meaningless in Fallout 3 had a purpose - cleaning the casinos out for example. Mind you New Vegas technically is more linear in terms of what you can do but the options for interaction were more extensive. Personally though Fallout 3 sells me on the exploration. Just turning around every second, seeing something in the distance and going "Oooh what's that?" Also another highly amusing moment is when you first encounter the AntAgonizer and The Mechanist at Canterbury Commons. Also when you first get the Mirv and fire it not fully realising what it can do. Sorry if I'm so talkative I finished a play through of New Vegas earlier today and then found out not shortly after about the countdown. I absolutely loved the exploration in Fallout 3. If I remember correctly, there was a bobble head that you could not get from a fast travel point but rather by exploring the rock formations on the eastern side of the Wasteland and finding a cave.
Fallout 3 had a better setting the conveyed the sense of social degradation better than Fallout New Vegas. IMO New Vegas was good and had pretty decent mechanics with some very interesting nods and additions to existing lore but failed to deliver the concept of post apocalyptic cyber suburban cowboys.
Fallout 3 did the idea of city crawling scavenger and 'in over your head' better.

We need a clean up on Aisle 3!
This actually looks exactly like what I hoped it would be.
RAMPANT SPECULATION: It is going to be sent in or near Boston! Not many US states I can think of off the top of my head and an olde english sailing culture and that ship just sold me on it.
Also was that a Wannamingo?

Between Scollay Square, the Paul Revere statue and a ship that looks like the Constitution there's no way it's anything else.
I WAS DAMN WELL HOPING SO! If true it would vindicate me. I've been telling people since The Android/Institute arc in Fallout 3 that given the East Coasts reception in the Fallout series The Commonwealth would likely be a setting since it offer so much.
Indian America Cultures which can be shaped into wasteland raider and tribal cultures, colonial influences, wilderness, train lines that run down to places like Salvation, the Bunker Hill Memorial, etc. Could even draw upon some whacky Cthulu mythology for Wild Wasteland instances and certain enemies.
