Shield's too easy to destroy, reduce recharge delay on suits down to 2 seconds delay and 3 depleted delay, increase base shield on caldari from 274 (I think it was) to 320 (when you skill into shield it'll be 400 shield, allowing better shield tanking when mods are used), change the shield recharge rate from 30 to 50 (before anyone goes, "OH THATS OP SO NO", given how many counter measures there are to shield's, scrambler rifles doing over 200+ dmg and flux grenades having such long range and high shield related damage from warbarges, it would be perfectly balanced).
Why hasn't ccp tried to fix it? CCP doesn't do anything, the dev's do, its their game, the game has their companies name on it, and every dev so far has favored armor over shield.
Caldari using armor modules and all high slot damage mods, has proven overly effective, playing the way the dev's made this game to be.

That applies to everyone and other suits don't have to be crap Linking your post back to the OP/TC, based on that logic, which caldari suit breaks that trend? The "fight at range or flank" trend. The scout and current commando follow that trend, they either are flanking or out ranging. The assault follows that trend as you say, which then means its only the cal sentinel which breaks it, even then I'd say its sentinel niche leans towards forging. A rather hard litmus test to measure the cal assault by when its clearly the way caldari as a whole was designed by CCP. If you are looking for a stand and deliver Rambo caldari, you'd have more luck with another racial line, in which case the op is limiting himself to the caldari suits, so the fault listed in the assault is not unique to that suit alone when its simply the trait CCP is currently applying/limiting the Caldari line with.
In other word's, it's their game, and we shouldn't have any say or nay in what they do.

Plenty of thing's can be said, without dev backing or acknowledgement of the CPM, I dare say, until we get a dev that actually want's to screw the biasity of the game, we'll be looking at Armor 514 for an unfairly long amount of time... All I can say is, I feel an apology to the community coming.

And why not? Even though assaults are getting nerfed speed, regen is poor, delay is illogical, and yet caldari shouldn't be as good as armor? When it has the most draw backs in the game, AR, SCR, ION P, SCP, CR rips through shields, everything in this game is bane to shield, and we shouldn't have the HP to take it? even amarr can take 2-3 clips of the RR before dying with armor mods, if they strafe TTK shoots up majorly, gallente the same, its unfair, and it wouldn't be worth to run shield if shield couldn't tank or regen fast both.

Armor:120 (+25% = 150)
Shield:320 (+25% = 400)
Delay: 3
Depleted Delay: 5
recharge rate: 30 (keep recharge mods the same)
This was done with a mix of google calculator and protofits.com to properly tie in the best shield related buff/armor nerf possible. It's simple, crude, and easy.
And it should be easy to tell why you want 3 delay and 5 depleted, its perfect. Recharge I tried fiddling with but couldn't find middle ground, coming to the conclusion that shield recharge mods are in a very good and perfect place (in that I couldn't figure out how with 2 complex shield mods I get 66, and not 61 or 69). energizers would really fit well with this since you'll be clocking over 600+ shield with shield related mods (provided you get the same number there as you do with a calculator, essentially my thought process goes, if you can't find the middle man, it's in a good area, but if you can, it can be buffed).

MAN, I can just read the condescending word's all day, but really, it shouldn't matter if this says "fix this entire race" it lead's to the point that was given, countless forum's about thing's that not only this game require's, but also what is needed to make it more playable for more than just 1 specific ethnic (armor), and let's not forget how many rooks left and quit because they chose caldari? I'm more than just getting sick of "shield's so better much better than armor" yet it's not what the pro corp's use in PC, it's amarr, gallente, and minmatar suits, never caldari, and if you see a caldari in PC, it's because he skilled into it prior and is either (like me) too stubborn to skill out of it and use another suit or too poor to get a respec to skill out of it.
Oh and being constructive, actually mean's putting in your thought's on how to properly "fix" the caldari, so as to be more viable in combat. Which you are not.

Yeah Basic to Proto diversity needs to be decreased in my opinion, just make it a standard across all suit's including militia (cause civies need some protection too, role playing wise anyway). However I might also disagree with 50 all across the board, with 3 delay and 5 depleted, you can recharge extremely fast, and wait 1 second when depleted (with proto mods anyway, and if you apply shield related recharge mods, for 0.3-0.1 seconds your getting 66 hp, with a damage threshold (which wouldn't be necessary with the delays and depleteds) you'd more than be viable until a flux or scram, or ar shot hits you.

That I agree with, I would love to rock 800+ shield's on an cal assault maybe even more, maybe add a natural shield related bonus to cal suits, of course if that's the case, then i'd see a 50+ natural recharge rate across the board (maybe make it so that different suit sizes get more or less recharge speed from recharge related modules).

Lore vs gameplay mechanic's, gameplay should ALWAYS come before lore and then make up a story for the lore afterward's, thinking lore before game mechanic's after all this time, is poor responsibility to the community and poor management of resources... That's simply how I feel.

Which is what we're trying to think up of, but still - OH maybe make it so that the BASIC suit skills give bonus' and are linked to whatever other thing that come's after that, like Caldari basic skill: 6% per level to all shield related modules and 3 damage threshold per level (comes up to 15 for those who aren't thinking, so that people using assault smg doesn't get anal on the idea, maybe make it 4 since most players have the common sense to use damage mods).

Ever been up against 2-3 more people and NOT 1 on 1 match that rarely happen's? See how long your HMG last's then.. Or a better example, an amarr armor tanking with a min logi vs a caldari sentinnel with 3 damage mods?

Still a damage threshold of 20 or greater (20 if we stay long range, but maybe should be based off of a % in efficiency as another thread was going on about, maybe a mix of both, wouldn't hurt, since most people use damage mods and what not, it wouldn't be much of a problem if we had something like that, y'know?).
