Since the slot layout switch between amarr/gallente sentinels, amarr can pull higher reps for some reason and pretty much higher stats overall at the cost of .3 speed, with same fits.
Heres my fits:

I remember the days when my Sentinel Gk.0 could pull 60 reps and was a viable rep tanker, nowadays I'm pulling 32 reps a sec. 32!! Can we get a 4/1 slot layout for gal sentinels, or give it 10+ base reps, or a suit bonus to rep mods. Anything to make it a better rep tanker than Amarr. I'm protod out in this suit and I feel like its a waste. It should be 50+ reps again or GTFO.

Well even without the links....yes you're going to end up with lower armor reps than Amarr simply because the Amarr have more low slots. Keep in mind that in EVE where the Gallente = Armor Reps originated, they rarely had more reps because of slots (and built in armor reps are not a thing). Instead it was that Gallente often got bonuses to Armor Repair Rate per level of that ship type.
It's part of the reason why I've been pushing for the Frame Suit skills to provide a bonus to all suits within that frame size, specifically to establish those racial tanking themes. As a rough example:
+2% Armor HP/ Lvl of Amarr Heavy Frame +2% Armor Repairer Rate/ Lvl of Gallente Heavy Frame +2% Shield HP/ Lvl of Caldari Heavy Frame +2% Shield Recharge Rate/ Lvl of Minmatar Heavy Frame

While I agree that they should at least have better innate reps, two complex reps should abrir somewhere between 30-35, with 3 in the low forties. Anything more, and no. |

Yeah, the extra 3 percent dmg isn't really great. The Gal has no niche.

probably about the time reps were buffed from 5 HP/sec to 7.5 HP/Sec (plus bonuses which brought it to a decimel point below 10)

The only role the Gal sentinel is really suited for is guarding a point and brick tanking which is kind of...sad, since that is the Amarr sentinel's(and he does it far better)
Slow, and low stats all the way around make the Gal not be able to perform any role better then any sentinel. Repping at 4 points a second when you have 600 armour is just so meh.

I main Gal Sentinel and I run (only my Advanced) a damage mod, a reactive plate, an armour plate and a rep mod.
I don't die easily and I kill frequently. I can move in the front lines and guard the point. Its not about the reps (which I do agree needs to be buffed for Gal Sent) its about how you play your sent. Be smart about it and use cover.

Nope, lets just remove it and leave it. I was never for the slot layout switch in the 1st place. With a 3/2 layout, amarr wouldn't stack so much hp as they do now and with a 4/1 layout gallente could pull 30+ reps and a plate to have some tank behind the reps.

gallente sentinel can be faster with 3 kinkats with more reps, with a PG mod and dmg mod.
Gallente can use kinkats and rep mods, a dmg mod and PG mod with better results in ambushing targets from behind compared to amarr sentinels.
Gallente has more speed allowing it to move around better and thus more likely to find targets to ambush with dmg mods.
Assuming active scanners are not used. |

I have used 3 proto kinkats and 1 proto rep, with proto weapons and grenades, you don't have any PG left to use a damage mod. (even with optimization 4 for both heavy and sidearm weapons) You need to down grade something to use a damage mod. |

about a 5-6 months ago yes the gall & amarr sentinel full shield & armor stacked could not be one shot killed with a sniper rifle. but that was then not now lol so with the right fit and sniper rifle it can be one shot killed with a headshot. see the heavy, line up the headshot and bang 60 war points. |

I just don't get very many chances to 1 shot amarr heavies and I use a prof 5 thales,proto cal commando, 3 damage mods, and warbage lv 3. With this fit im doing 440 base damage. 501 against shields and 612 against armor. Now a fully stacked amarr heavy can can pull 1645 hp, 1195 of it armor and 450 shields. I dont know the headshot multiplier, but if its at least x3 thats a definite headshot. Its probably higher than that, so maybe you're right if I knew the multiplier.

^ close but it was only possible when the "Roden" was 550 damage. you can get very close using the "forks" since it has the same headshot damage % as the charge. the thales has the same as the ishukone sr % |
