Which one of the two do you think is better for overall gameplay? I do love to have tripple damage mods on a armor tanked suit but i aswell like it when my long range passive scan precision (30m on assaults/ 37.5m on logis) is at ~35DB which allows me to react faster to incoming assaults, heavys and logis. This is espacially usefull for close quarter maps when you see the red dot before he turns around the corner.
So what you use on your gal/amarr assaults/logis? Damage mods for more firepower or precision enhancers for better judgement of the enviroment or do you use myofibres to have better mobility? And dont start arguing about range amplifiers in low slots for shield suits, they are useless.

I usually use one precision enhancer and the rest damage mods on assaults. It's quite useful to be able to see someone around the corner when they don't know you can. Just pop around the corner with a charged ion pistol headshot.
My logi stacks precision enhancers though.

My logi stacks precision enhancers though. Thats problematic cause a assault with profile dampening to 5 has a profile of 40.5DB while your long range scan has only a precision of 42.12DB. Which means you will only pick up logis and heavys with that scan precision. Well unless the dude in question is a scrub and has 0 points into profile dampening.
In my experience having 2 precision enhancers can be a life saver in alot of situations. That and if a scout is closer then 6m to you he gets picked up on your scans.

2 precisions on a logi is great in a squad. See everything and heal everything while your bros do the fighting.

I used to go with 1 precision & 2 damage mods ony my Amarr assault.
But things changed and i observed that damage mods aren't so good.
As for now i'm using : dmg mod, shield, blue bottle. One shield for extra protection, blue bottle comes really in handy and dmg mod for extra dmg.

I managed to convince a friend who runs minlogi to always run proto with 4 precisions(Range amps suck though) lets you see EVERYTHING, plus there's nothing better than "Hey Mr. Heavy, don't turn that corner there's like 50 guys, let's go this way."
I'd probably still run only one precision though, too many other mods to fit that would be more useful than fitting for a slight ability to see people on radar.

Ironically there is nothing decent for lowslots in terms of utility apart of maybe kincats but thats about it.

For gk.0 or ak.0 assaults, it's shield buffer, precision enhancement, and damage mod.

Depends on the role.
On my scout and logi, I usually use precision. Damage mods on everything else. |

I don't use Precision Enhancers.
On my Assault AK.0 I use 1 Shield Extender and 2 Light Damage Mods. It's worked well for me so far, and I see no need to use a Precision Enhancer.

People forget passive scans are shared with squad. Your logi should have a couple fit which gives everyone in the squad the benefit if they stay close. If one guy has em nobody else needs em

I beg to differ, code breakers are good for hacking objectives quickly so you don't give the enemy time to react, which can give your team the upper hand in a losing battle
kincats are good to get where you need to quickly
cardioregs are good if you are moving around a lot, say you are in a skrim and you are a scout that counter hacks these can be your best friend along with kincats or code breakers
damps can help you get past radars
range amps are mostly under rated, before if paired with precision enhancers they were quite OP as you could see everything at ranges that could compare to active scanners, now they serve as a last second warning on dampened scouts as they increase your inner circle scan range, but can still be used as they were before at about 50% effectiveness on amarr and caldari scouts and gal to some extent not so much for min
cpu can obliviously give you more options if you are having fitting problems
high slots give you only 4 options damage mods precision enhancing myofibs and pg mods
damage is good but not much utility there precision is great myos do their job well but mostly only at protato ranks and the Pg can you you the extra pg that you need to fit that kincat or whatever pg intensive mod you want to use
so all in all its 3.5 vs 4.5 half for both dmg mod and range amps since they don't give too much utility advantage
as you can see low slots give more of a utility advantage when you look at the big picture, the reason why high slot mods seem to be more common is because its either that or shield mods, which if not on cal or min are kinda redundant so if you are and armor tanker, which is mostly everyone right now. you go for mods that will give you utility over shield but fit all the low slots with armor giving you little option for anything else other then an occasional damp or two

They are both good. But range enhancers seem bad, I cant seem to scan anything using my outer scan range. |
