The big hang-up in being able to send Warbarge Components via player trade systems is the ability to set up lots and lots of PSN accounts to accrue components passively. What if we used District Kredits, a currency earned on player activity, as a gatekeeping mechanic to trade these items.
Pay x amount of District Kredits to send proportional x amount of Warbarge Components.
CCP would have full control over the trade faucet.

This would also need to imply District Kredits couldn't be sent directly to another player.

Workaround:
- use components on 'farm' toon in lab. - transfer 'mined' stuff to main account.
Done.

Done. Not sure if we're on the same page here. I'm talking about being able to send a player your own components so they can use them to upgrade warbarge subsystems (or spend them on extracting weapons from the exp. lab).

It's simple, you and your corp designate a few guys to receive said components and farm officer weapons from those profiles and alts. Officer stomping would be the norm. It's hard enough keeping noobs playing.

Ok.. but for what you need components? (beside upgrades warbage) For now, only for laboratory and making better gear.
Instead sending components .. just render item on toon and send rendered items to main (or anywhere). This also can make you more items (multiple laboratories instead one at main toon)
This is only more time consuming at start, but I think it is ok with CCP philosophy.
At the end, same effect, with difference that we can do it now

1. CCP controls experimental production droprate (this is besides the lab being time capped over two days). More weapons produced across dust community, fewer of those weapons are officer grade. More experimental grade.
2. CCP controls conversion rate of District Kredits for Components. This may include a tax with a cooldown features for continually sending items to the same person. The more you send items to the same person, the more District Kredits are required to send the same amount of Components comparatively.
3. Academy and Public Matchmaking. Work is progressively being done to give noobs even more places to participate in Dust 514. However, this is a social game set in the cutthroat environment of New Eden, CCP Game's IP, which is known for being a tough.

At 2).
You can send/spread items throu all your 'farm' population, not just one person. With some work you can easy manage to avoid extra kredit to spend ;)

1. You need a lot of District Kredits to spread over large amount of alt accounts this require lots of player activity. 2. It takes time to physically log into and load up all those alt accounts. 3. The system tracks how often you send District Kredits to the same account, raises tax according to frequency of deposits. 4. CCP can prevent deposits being made to brand new accounts, or accounts that are inactive. 5. Warbarge production systems are already bound by a 2 day time window.
