I have always said to friends that a good game takes its own ideas aswell as acknowledging other games good points and then interpreting them into there own (my view)
I understand this will most likely bring out trolls but anyways.
We have been introduced to the world of skins which I adore. However I believe skins should have alot more meaning then (I was lucky in a box/I spent money or grinded fw to the point I questioned my social life xD )
So the idea very similar to cod (here comes trolls) rewarding players who excel in battle with skins for performance.
How this would work in my view is quite simple. You introduce ribbons and medals like bf3 but in a dust fashion xD so let's take an example.
Galente-
you have the weapons- ar, bar, burst, tactical, ion, plc
they each would have there own unique challenge like mastery challenges. So you have ribbons, easy to achieve like - 10 kills with and ar or something similar, then medal which would be to achieve that medal 40 times, then mastery which would require several of those medals and other medal challenges. By achieving that you would be rewarded a mastery skin for your weapon.
However achieving mastery challenge for all galente weaponary would reward you mastery would the Gal suit skin. Showing your mastery level to the faction.
this skin would then hold attributes such as lp bonus while running gal fw excetra.

Yes I know you get lp in FW, I just feel skins should be recognised on the battlefield for outstanding performance in a certain weapon or suit, not who spends the most money. I agree to quafe being purchasable it's just something shiny, but bringing something like the mastery skin, pure black with gold trim or something I don't know how the colours would work but something bad ass. Not like the angel cartel skin that makes your sentinel look militia.
I think attributes on top with skins would be brilliant, mastery suit brings like a small rep bonus or lp bonus, or whatever that's not my job xD
I just remember my loving for achieving stuff medals and ribbons and becoming a master in my class, anyone can get the skins today. Give me more skinssssssssss
