Historical accuracy for elementary school children in a public school setting is in no way similar to discussing a company's business on their customer forums. If BAMM really wants to discuss this then he can do so on social media or his website.

So, I'm saying that he wasn't grinding the rumor mill. He was merely observing that it existed. I thought that shutting down his thread was a bit premature on Frame's part. BAMM wants to establish trust in the community and with CCP. I doubt that he thought CCP would be so hasty as to hear the mention of a rumor and run for the axe. BAMM has a history of tinfoiling and trolling in his videos. Something tells me that has a huge part to play in Frame's decision. Regardless of the stance he took on the rumor, his video perpetuates the rumor to those who would otherwise never hear of it. Sure, some moderates would hear the rumor and dismiss it, but doomsayers will grab it and parade it around to cause panic just to get their jollies.

From a journalism standpoint, yes, you did the right thing. You gave CCP the chance to reply before posting a video on BAMM's Youtube channel and website. However, vetting a rumor doesn't give you permission to post it on this forum. The rule doesn't say "No rumor mongering unless you talk to CCP about it first" it says "No rumor mongering".
