It raises awareness the same way that we teach children that historically it was thought that the world was flat. It is unobjectionable to factually discuss that a rumor existed. It is when the rumor is encouraged that it becomes a problem. It's scary to see entire lines of conversations shut down due to the mention of something. BAMM even stated that it was only a rumor and as such, he would not let it sway his behavior. |

Historical accuracy for elementary school children in a public school setting is in no way similar to discussing a company's business on their customer forums. No, if we have rules, then we must all abide. Agreed, there. But I'm pointing out that his attitude surrounding the rumor was not indicative of a belligerent attitude toward CCP. So, I'm saying that he wasn't grinding the rumor mill. He was merely observing that it existed. I thought that shutting down his thread was a bit premature on Frame's part. BAMM wants to establish trust in the community and with CCP. I doubt that he thought CCP would be so hasty as to hear the mention of a rumor and run for the axe. |
