Currently Marine Loyalty SKINs are the only unique collectable with no cheap instant way to achieve it. You can't buy it with Aurum like everything else and you cannot find it in a strongbox. The only way you can get it is by earning it in FW. Because of this, it becomes special and worth the high LP cost. If you make it tradeable, that is instantly killed.
Keeping Marine SKINs nontradeable will uphold their status as a true symbol of loyalty, their intended purpose. For those wishing to convert their masses of LP into sweet sweet ISK, there are still viable outlets such as APEX suits, Specialist weapons, and equipment better than proto.

Go for it! Make LP skins absolutely pointless if that is your goal, this is New Eden so do what you want. Until then I'm going to advise against it. Carry on.

You realize the stuff he is blue tagging is all related to the hotfix today? This one regarding SKINs starting to be tradeable
