Such as the quafe,Brutor,Kali, ext.. Are you going to replace them with a regular standard bpo that looks exactly like the market purchased ones and then add the skin( distinctive color ) to our inventory or is that going to be a separate purchase for the skin its self.
Example. Quafe A-1 becomes Standard Amarr assault + Quafe Amarr medium skin.

That is the stated intent, but I do not guarantee that every BPO will be refunded like that. Some may end up being relics of older times and become collectibles.
The goal is to improve frame rate be removing multiple BPO's, so it makes sense to remove them in an order of "most used".

There is some value in refunding all of them, however, as the SKIN could then be applied to the Frame itself - so a Templar 'Assault' SKIN could be applied to a Templar 'Logistics'.
Originally I was going to argue that there was merit in with application toward higher-tiers (Advanced/Prototype) but since you're considering Power Cores, that seems to be less of an issue.

the question is will I still have my free suits. I wonder if I'll still be able to make free fittings like I am able to do now. the worry is that I payed real money to be able to make infinite fittings or make a fitting infinite so; how would that be handled? would we get a standard BPO suit with a skin blueprint or would we simply have a BPO skin of for example a quafe skin for which we would have to pay isk for.
Example
- Quafe amarr logistics BPO --> Quafe medium skin Blueprint + amarr medium suit BPO that includes the power core
- Quafe amarr logistics BPO --> Quafe medium skin BPO + non BPO medium suit
** This option means I would have to pay isk every time I die because only the skin is BPO which would circumvent the whole purpose for me having bought the BPO suit in the first place.

Personally, it's well worth the loss if the look is retained and the game is improved. While the original promise of 'unlimited suits' might be lost, its worth it if the implementation of skins + powercore equals a vast improvement and room for more future stuff (like heavy weapons, vehicles, installations, subclasses, etc)
The alternative: stagnation due to lack of overhead in the system, surely will be fatal to Dust. |

MEH! My dollars should have already paid for that sh#t. Both with the years of eve subscriptions and the hundreds of dollars spent for the sake of the game. If it wasnt because CCP let their minds be chewed up by the promise of Legion, which is scrapped if you didn't know, we would have had many many improvements already.
I paid for a product I expect my product. You can't jist buy a jaguar and expect the company to take it away and give you a ford fiesta. You expect to keep your jaguar

I must say, by all means kill the relics sir.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

the utility of a bpo should be conserved in our plans, if you read it carefully, that's what it says.

On the other hand, some never used ones should be converted so their resource baggage won't carry on and on for no reason - yes?
Looking at both sides of the coin.

From what I understand, CCP will find a way to retain what you paid for. When you spent money for a BPO, you either paid for it for the looks or for the financial advantage it gives you. Sometimes both. What I see could happen is that depending on the BPO, it might be converted to certain items or a bundle of items such as a BPO Core Module along with a Permanent SKIN module plus a BPO Basic Suit if it is an APEX or other suits like the Quafe.
For example:
I would be OK if my Republic/APEX 'Tiger' Scout were to be converted into the following bundle. 1x BPO Dropsuit with PRO Slots 1x BPO 'Tiger' Core Module: Not only offers the same CPU/PG stats but also adds in the STD modules that the 'Tiger' had. 1x Permanent SKIN APEX Colors
EDIT: This would allow you and me to retain the effect of the BPOs in question and the colors you and I looked for.

I think that is likely. Besides, how many players do you know that actively use the Skinweave Frames?
