Dust is so friggen sluggish today! Every match I've been in my movement speed has been damn near half what it should be. Every squad mate I've spoken with today has said the same. It's not just sluggish in matches either, the cursor hangs up while scrolling through fits/ quantities. I even took a break to do a system restore and reinstall the client, no difference what so ever.
I usually blame this sort of stuff on my hardware, but literally everyone in squad has said the same thing lag lag lag. This isn't a crazy new development either; I've been playing this game since November, and I swear at least two days out of every week since has been like this: slow, jittery BS.
Days like this really make me regret spending money on this game.

Because the server load (players online) changes on a daily basis.

Seems like the most likely reason. I guess the question would then become: if this game is profitable, why can't the servers handle large quantities of players without degrading performance? The budget certainly exists to keep servers up to date and maintained. Why aren't they? Is it a matter of negligence? Do the developers simply disbelieve anecdotal reports of poor performance? Is there even analysis of daily system health being performed? Is this level of performance, or lack thereof, really the apex of CCPs capacity?

Because CCP.
This seems trite, but it's so true.
The longer you are here, the more you will come to understand and resent it.
I have been around about 15 months.
I went from optimist and taking things in stride to more and more bitter.
Now I'm moving towards the last stage: total apathy.

I'm in the last stage, which is having seen everything happen, and knowing that it was worse back then than it is now.
Essentially the final stage is appreciation for every little thing that works, apathy towards whatever doesn't.

I went to Other Contracts and saw NO FREAKING LIST = WHAT THE ****!!!
I could see which battles had great ping and overall my ping was great on the green bar.
That could solve so many problems for players who don't have great connection.

If you'd have played EVE for a few years you'd know what the real stages are. You are still on stage one.dat CCP |

I wonder what dust will be like tomorrow. Perhaps rattati will clandestinely remove crouching, and sit back and laugh at us pitiful wretches as we scurry about, pointlessly mashing triangle.
