Please do it!!!
I find it abit wrong that armor suits (such at the Gallente and Amarr assaults)
Can stack damage mods and not sacrifice anything while doing it

In EVE ewar mods and the majority of speed mods would go in our highslots when properly translated, Code breakers as well.
Damage mods of course would be lows. There could also be a biotic that increases just the movement speed and have that in low slot.
While id love to have that in not sure if that impact would be worth it.
You'd really be flipping the infantry meta on its head.
I think it might be for the positive though.

I don't think many people would appreciate following the EVE system since as you said it does flip the system on its head.
Even if it were changed Shield Tanked suit could not fit a full tank and damage modules. Still the whole process would limit the number of damage modules on the field.

Screw damage mods when you can jump higher. I like still being able to jump over railing when I have some Amor stacked. Also damage mods arnt the great, how often do you get into a fight and the guy only just survives.

Lets just "flatten the progression" of module slots altogether, any mod goes into w/e slot, no more high/low just a list of mods and a list of slots to place them in. Since its such an unfair situation an all. Tho an easier sales pitch would probably be that doing this will fix hit detection. Yes! Flatten Module Slot Progression, it'll Fix Hit Detection!!11!1!

Because parity. You say you want to MOVE dmg mods to lows.

Because it is unfair for shield suits that they have to sacrifice HP for dmg while armor doesn't.
But then the same argument applies to armor suits. If they have to sacrifice HP for DMG and shield suits don't it is, again, unfair for the same reasons.
Hence, if DMG mods could go in either high OR lows, then any type of suit, be it shield or armor, could sacrifice something other than HP for DMG mods. |
