I am a veteran DUST 514 player on my personal account and have 26 million SP tactically invested to ensure I can try as many competitive playstyles as I can, while also supporting my preference of deploying in different roles as the team needs. I only truly invest in core skills, Gallente dropsuits and assault (plasma) rifles. Nevertheless, I also have level 3 in all light weapons so I can use Aurum to try proto variants of them all.
I have played DUST 514 since the earliest alpha builds, through MorduGÇÿs Legion, Skirmish 1.0, Chromosome and now 1.8. I was so bought into the idea of DUST 514 that I bought a PS3 when CCP decided to go console and a couple of console FPSGÇÿs to get my controller skill up as fast as possible. I am a KBM user at heart though, and have been a member of clans/corps from Quake 2 and 3, Action Quake 2 and BF 1942.
I am not a great player measured in KDR as I tend to play a very aggressive slayer, caring more about kills than deaths. My play pattern is pretty much, scout, uplink, hack, die, logi, uplink, triage, die, heavy/assault, kill, die, rinse, repeat, with a special mention of my dual Plasma Cannon Galmando (Gallente Commando).
I tend to prefer armor and powerful mid and short range weapons over agility and manouverability, something I have always done (dwarf tank in WoW) and I only play with the best items available. Every single fit is maxed out PG/CPU with my favorite gear. Fortunately I had previously received a few dropships (or not so few) through the loot system which were refunded at market value in the past, so I peaked at 80 million ISK. ItGÇÿs been downhill since as I am residing somewhere around 10 million ISK at the moment.
As a father of 3, I rarely reach my weekly cap, but I get in a couple of sessions every week. Occasionally I do the 6-8 hour sessions when opportunity arises, coupled with rage quitting any of the Souls games and seeking solace in DUST pubs.
I am a huge forum lurker and tend to follow the General and Feedback Discussions sub-forums religiously, and occasionally jump in if there is something interesting going on.
