It isn't that I'm opposed to changes, I even tried to understand the "gameplay" side [docs.google.com] of the changes, but until someone shows me a post from CCP that specifies the problem/root issue this specific topic is a fix for, then I'm squarely in the "WTF" camp. |

(The FSCKING TLS bug on these forums dropped my reply)
P14GU3 (Piagub?) and Aero, I appreciate what you're saying about redundant stuff, and I note that both your replies fail on one area: I asked for a pointer to where CCP said what the specific issue is. Basically, you're both pointing to redundant data being the issue, but not what type of data, why it is redundant, what memory in the PS3 (there's 2 types...) is being impacted, or what set of memory is being used at what levels. Fixing this type of issue requires quite a bit of insight, and I'm not saying that the community doesn't have it, or that we couldn't randomly find a fix (1000 blind chickens and 1000 typewriters), just that before backing an idea, proper information is required :)
I'll try to do a write-up with some questions/concerns - with a bit of a lot of very much luck, perhaps CCP will answer with more details.
As for the Trojan horse, I understand that ... but you're just moving tiering from suits to power-cores, achieving largely nothing but making the game more complex :( |
