Greeting mercenaries,
Recently troubles and concerns have been raised into the sudden appearance of trans dimensional anomalies that have appeared within our cluster. The rifts seem extremely localized to planet Chesiette V of Verge Vendor deep within Gallente territory. The exact origin of these fractures in space-time are unknown, though it is incredibly unlikely that they were not developed or at the very least maintained and encouraged by the Gallente government. Since their appearance, the Ostrakon Agency has been tasked with the defense of these portals. After a sufficient amount of time however, the Ostrakon began to hire on new mercenaries to cross train with the Federal Intelligence Office while employing these anomalies as a method of war.
While the initial concept seems audacious when faced with a potentially hazardous fracture in the space-time continuum the shock passes upon further inspection of previous collaboration attempts between the Ostrakon Agency and the Gallente government. In years past the Ostrakon had earned their title of a gutless band of dishonorably discharged soldiers reorganized into a private military corporation for hire. The idea of the Ostrakon being selected as the trusted company to handle the defense of these testing grounds further lends credence to the suspicion that the Agency was never hired to defend the sites themselves but to act as unwitting test subjects for the Federal Intelligence Office (and subsiquently the Black Eagles) to observe firsthand.
The press response to this event has been virtually nonexistent with no public responce from leading Gallente news broadcasting stations such as The Scope. Given the turbulent and uncertain future that New Eden faces following unconfirmed reports of a hypothetical Drifter invasion, such silence proves a deliberate suppression and censorship of Federation news sources and further direct involvement within the Roden administration.
While the nature of how the Eskola Private Intelligence Center was able to infiltrate the Ostrakon Agency prevent any ability to record any form of empirical data the anomalies themselves response much in the same way Amarr man-portable wormhole generators function. The Amarr man-portable drop uplink, while undoubtedly has earned its place alongside the increasing list of equipment carried by a mainstay immortal, remains an unfinished concept that delivers excruciating pain and lethal amounts of radiation to those employ them. It is possible that the Federation has attempted to refine these systems, possibly to a much more stable level that allows for micro-warp travel between individuals on the battlefield without the need of a drop uplink to dictate where a portal sends a soldier.
Overall however, the anomalies remain randomize blights on the landscape only capable of sending soldiers through one direction. Even when a soldier willingly inserts himself into the electrical haze, there is no current guarantee that he will emerge unscathed on the other side and there is no way to trace where this portal leaves the poor fool afterwards. It may be in the middle of an enemy control room, in the center of a passing fire team, or (in extremely rare cases) inside a solid steel wall. Needless to say, the element of danger answers why immortal mercenaries were considered the only source of labor stupid enough willingly step through them for minimal compensation.
While the program is obviously early in developement, The EPI-Center is hard pressed to write this threat off simply as yet another secret weapon to be tested by the Black Eagles for infultration of into hostile environments. Rather, Eskola Eurgonomics lends credit of this discovered to the unfortunate byproduct of a yet disclosed project and would advise the Federal Intelligence Office to stop meddling with the fabric of reality.
For rapid surveillance both foreign and domestic, this has been the Eskola Private Intelligence Center. Thank you for your time and consideration.
