Hello everyone! Your fellow nova knifer and experienced lecture host here.
I'm letting everyone here know that I am currently offering a broker service via my alt which is named TESTDRONE PLZIGNORE. The alt is in the same corp as D-UNI and the purpose of it is to allow its members to feel safe enough to trade with those not only within the corp but also those outside the corp. This is also to help new players understand the nature of the secondary market and what to expect. I might even take a moment to answer any questions for new players who are curious about parts of the game.
The alt is also under the same PSN ID as what I am using right now with Maken. This is for accountability reasons so that you know for certain it is me you are working with.
So if you are going to trade with anyone who is in D-UNI over anything that is valued at 1 million ISK or more, you will likely run into my broker alt. You can add my alt to your contact list.
I will be in touch in the Learning Coalition chat channel if you need me for such trades.
Broker Fee: 1% imposed on the sellers' ISK profit only if the transaction is successful.
Limitations: For now, all trades through my alt must involve at least 1 other member from Dust University. Example: Buyer from D-UNI, me as the broker, and Seller from NF. If neither the seller nor the buyer is in D-UNI, the transaction is cancelled.
If it is a high-value trade, I will likely require that it be handled in a separate private squad. ISK-for-Item trades only (no Item-for-Item trades). Minimum trade value of 1 million ISK.
I look forward to doing business with all of you so you can feel secure with your trades.

Relatively slow. Managed to handle transactions between at least 4 different players, but other than that, things haven't been moving as fast as I expected. But this is just so that there is a filter between our corp members, a lot of whom are newbros, and those who wish to scam them. We are a learning corp after all and we need to help them along to get acclimated to the culture here.

You can be at that level and still be very new to the game. If Jadek Menaheim's calculations are correct, it only takes $5 to get to level 2. That is extremely cheap.

jane dorrington wrote:I have been very curious about trading but honestly I do not know the value of things. I don't know know if what I am holding is worth anything.
The other thing is I don't really see how trading has any advantages over just selling things back to the market because as I understand it you cannot trade Aur items?
I remember there was a lecture about it earlier this year when it was still just a rumor. I know how the system works but I have no idea about the market value and about player trading verse the actual market place.
It is frustrating.
Once you know the value of certain items, you will notice the major advantages it has over selling back to the NPC market.
As for AUR items, CCP Rattati and his team are still slowly expanding trade. Just recently they enabled trading of 7-Day Active boosters and 30-Day Passive boosters and you can now trade SKIN modules that you buy from the market. There is no word yet on when traditional BPOs will be allowed, but rest assured that CCP is planning on doing just that.
And if you want to know what is the value of certain items for trade, you can always ask around in the Player Trade Section of the forums.

You know, at this rate I might as well expand my services to include being a general broker for those who are outside D-UNI. I'll update my OP accordingly.

Fox Gaden wrote:Here is my Third Party analysis of this service: Maken Tosch is a well know player who has been around for years. As far as I am aware his reputation is untarnished. He has been a member of DUST University for as long as I have known him. It would be my estimation that Maken ToschGÇÖs reputation, and the reputation of DUST University, are very important to him. In my estimation the likelihood of this being a scam is VERY LOW. I would use this service if I had need of it. Going to give this the Fox Stamp of Approval.
Thank you very much. I've been mostly inactive in terms of playing matches*, but I do still check in on my Broker Alt at least twice a day to see if anyone sent me any messages needing my service.
* - mainly because of me being busy looking for a job and playing Splatoon and Smash Bros on the WiiU.

Just a reminder to everyone here that you need to be at least loyalty rank 2 to be able to send ISK or items to another player. Supposedly there is a loophole where a player who is below that rank can send ISK to the corp wallet as a donation to the corp and then have someone send the ISK to the recipient but that will require a player who has director-level access to the corp wallet and Dust University doesn't have that many directors on standby.
I am NOT a director just so you know so I don't have any access to the corp wallet to do that.
