1 in 10 potshots at a redzone tank will yield a few war points.
But for uplinks, you've got a better shot at jumping out of a dropship and trying to melee it. |

was playing with roner and shiyou earlier and I used it to scare around 10 people out of their high spot. we slaughtered them when they hit the ground. :3

OBs - including the minor flux - would be far more useful and convenient if we could select the strike zone without going into the overhead map, perhaps in a similar way that you can use the squad command to set a rally point...

In my experience, they are incredibly hard to target with. I think they need to be 3 small strikes rather than a single one, because as it is now, they are simply too small to effectively destroy targets. |

You are foolish! You use this OB to scare people out of open top bases. When the whale sound triggers the team scatters for cover. Then your team pushes on them. I love this move. Hell, it has been pulled on me a few times.
With the team chat gone, we need to really start leveraging the squad finder!

If it doesn't already, this needs it's own thread!
Would also like to suggest a way of having a strike be more accurate, but taking longer to actually fire (after the "**** your pants" noise.)
Either by having the target circle size fluctuate as you hold the fire button down, or just having a few pre-set sizes to chose from. |

the flux strikes should hit the ground and explode like an ADV or PROTO flux grenade and should do the same damage. free team flux nade to drop @ 300 WP is a neat feature. now if only it worked that way... |

[quote=Cat Merc]It just seems... utterly useless. Did anyone figure out a use for it?[/quote You hit a stationary Shield tank and then jump him. It takes away most of their shield.
Also, makes tanks waste hardeners. It's like a pre-laser thing. Use flux, waste hardener, hit dat dude with a laser next.

They're perfect for clearing uplinks on roofs - saving up for a single WB is actually less effective then using the small ones to keep roofs clean of spawns. |

Haven't read entire thread but a couple of the above responses hit exactly where I will- I use the small OBs very often when squad lead, I know how to aim OBs so for roof link clearing theyre indipensable now, also for tricking a tank into staying put for a full strike. Drop one or two small ones, make him think thats all there is then hit with the big. An OB jab-jab-hook, if you will. Theyre also actually helpful pushing congested/lockdown doorways since they'll wipe any hives AND drop defenders' shields making the subsequent push that much more effective.
Key one to small OBs-> Be worth a **** at dropping OBs in general.

Not really, I mean, if you run solo, and make a squad, it's useful to use with snipers or to wipe out shields on a tank.
