Are you guys US based? The main problem I have in matches is that I end up in squads that just aren't sufficient. I'm not the best player by far but I'm not the worst. I'd say I'm fair when I go alone (usually always up around the top of the boards), and pretty decent when I have a decent squad and team. Not new to FPS games either, been playing them for years across several systems. I have an itchy trigger finger lol. I first signed on to DUST back in July. If I had 20m SP (I only have a bit over 7m right now) with massive amounts of armor bonuses, I'm quite sure I'd clean up in matches but I only have what I regard as mediocre gear compared to people that have been around since early beta. Now with the constant scan and tank spams things have grown even more detrimental when you're on poor teams. For example I was in an ambush match this morning in a squad, and we ended up getting pinned by tanks and lost 98-0 in a 150 reserve match because of the idiotic "smart respawn" putting us all in the same place. No one could get out to even place an uplink out of enemy firing lines. My other problem was that until I skilled into rail and combat rifles now, I was finally becoming an expert with the AR and going 37/2 in matches and then we all ended up in 1.7 so that went out the window right quick.
I use a mic and am on as a rule during the week from Tuesday through Fridays. I'll fight in all matches whatever they are. Whether it's a pub stomp contract, PC, or FW. I've played them all.
I've fought against you guys in tons of pub matches and it wasn't too often that my side came out on top because of your degree of organization in the field, especially when there was more than one or two of you.
I run Caldari logistics with all different equipment outfits. i can use hives, uplinks, explosives, injectors, you name it, all advanced or higher. I used to always use a Duvolle AR in matches but that usually isn't effective anymore against combat and rail rifles so now I use those. I'm also always looking to learn new and better ways of doing maps, fittings, and executions from old pros and veterans.
Also Happy New Years everybody!
